If the majority of the teams starters are back and weren't talented, then why, just because they're srs are they supposed to be now...I know players improve and get a little stronger, but, non talented jrs don't automatically make talented srs, just because there a yr older, and if they're as talented as you say, they would have won more than 2 games last year. I, for one, don't put much stock in what kids do in 8th and 9th grade, because alot kids will play at the earlier stages and then for various reasons, decide not to play once they reach HS...

Taylor Co. has the farm back in addition to Macon - edge Taylor (0-1)

Adair Co. is Adair Co. - Big edge Monroe (1-1)

LaRue Co. is building again. - Slight edge to Monroe for being at home (2-1)

Barren Co. is better than last year - Edge to Barren (2-2)

Metcalfe Co. lost a lot of key people but returns DeLeon - Slight edge to Monroe at home (3-2)

Greenwood is improved and has enough people up front to win - Edge Greenwood (3-3)

Glasgow has a ton back and the game is at Glasgow - Edge Glasgow (3-4)

Green County also has a ton back and will host the game - Edge Green (3-5)

Allen Co. Scottsville will be a toss up - Edge Monroe at home (4-5)

Wayne County doesn't return a lot - Edge Monroe County (5-5)

 

First round playoff game at Caldwell Co. - Edge Caldwell (5-6)

 

5-6 record and Monroe's fifth straight first round playoff loss.

What's the verdict in Blackcat Country? Is this team going to be as good as or better than the 2004 Blackcats? Aside from the Pburg team who was state runner-up to Mayfield some years back, that 2004 squad was the best Pburg team I have seen, even better than the 2001 Runner-ups.

On paper, P-burg looks like it could be pretty good. There's a lot of talent returning.

 

Much will depend on how quickly the offensive and defensive lines get in gear. The bulk of graduation losses were at those positions. Coach Allen is a good addition on the staff, especially for developing linemen.

No. Bobby Hughes (last yr's starting QB) was a senior and missed the end of the season due to the injury.

I'm guessing it's the "East of I65" top 5 in 2A?? Fort Campbell must be a lot worse then I am aware of.
