I see it like this:

QB-UofL

RB-push

Wr-push

TE-push

O-line-push

DL-push

LB-UK

Secondary_UK

I think you're off there. I'd go with:

QB-UL

RB-UK

WR-UL

TE-Push

O-Line-UK

DL-UK

LB-UK

Secondary-UK

Special Teams-UL

That said I don't think that either team has a huge advantage at any of the positions and it should be a close game. Cantwell at quarterback is probably the spot where UL has the biggest edge and LB or Secondary is where UK has the biggest advantage. I'm a UK fan but I think the home field will be the difference and UL will pull out a 24-21 win.

You need glasses.

The same reason that UK fans think they can discredit Hunter, or say he's not as good as we think....

He is a good QB , but he won't have any protection or clutch receivers.

We simply can. Brian moved the ball against UK. And still didn't win. There is one thing we can all agree on here, Hunter is no Brian. Plus all those receivers are gone. So what makes you think Hunter will move the ball against virtually the same defense with lesser quality receivers?

On paper.... the only one that sticks out to me is Bobby Buchanon over Ashton Cobb at Safety.. otherwise no

Marcus McClinton is the starting safety and he is as good as any in the SEC any certainly better than any Card.

What about Jarmon on the end? Wouldn't he give UK the edge?

I will take Earl Heyman over any DT that UK has.

DT1

Pryor vs. Heyman- I was thinkign Heyman was listed at DE, if so he can't hold a candle to Jarmon. Otherwise I concede this position even though a healthy Pryor is every bit as good if not better than Heyman.

DT2

Peters vs. Grady- No contest, Peters

DE1

Jarmon vs. Scott- Jarmon is the best defensive player playing in this game

DE2

Jenkins vs. Mitchell- Both have shown signs of dominance, neither stands out above the other. Push.

I definately see a slight advantage to UK..and based on how much better Jarmon and Peters are in their matchups maybe even more.

.... As for the OL push... C'MON! That ain't even close IMO!

At what? Rapping before the game?

And Warford (sp?), whereever he is playing is the worse defensive player on the field.

BTW, I where glasses.

How many NFL caliber lineman does UK have? UofL has two for sure. And, to borrow a phrase you used on the defense ananlogy, Eric Wood is by far the best o-lineman on the field.

I'd go with 2nd Team All SEC OT Garry Williams personally...

I already had UK with the better D-Line didn't I? I was matching the units up against each other, not against the opposing unit that they'll be facing. :thumb:

Over the years, you have shown to need them too. 2006 comes to mind.
