Track the Reds (Week 18)

Featured Replies

3 at Houston, then 3 at Washington. With this team it could be 6-0, or 0-6. I'll go with 4-2 for the Reds. Having said that I must ask that if they do go and win 4 or 5, can we agree to not say Wild Card. Please?:thumb:

I would post the Wild Card, but let see how the Reds do on their latest "do or die" road trip.

They won't go and win 4 or 5...It's time for the fire sale, and hopefully the ball is rolling.

Preachin to the choir:thumb: Some disagree though.

IMO its like UK football...They Sucked at one time...But if you just stick with what you got...If you can keep the same starting line up for three years and not do get any better..Then break out the trades...I know UK Football is College and The Reds are professional...:thumb:

Magic Man dotting Tulo is one of the highlights of the year for me as a Reds fan. This staff has shown no desire to dust people or back up their own. Even if the pitch that BP got hit by was not intentional, BP didn't like it and may have thought it was. Having Magic Man then go out and dot Tulo right off the bat sends a strong message internally from the pitching staff - We've got your back.

Huge.

Didn't see it but ABOUT TIME!!!

Didn't see it but ABOUT TIME!!!

BP got hit. Didn't like it. Walked slowly to first (with bat in hand). Probably not intentional according to Marty and Cowboy.

First pitch next inning, bam.

Great. Some chutzpah being demonstrated by somebody on the Reds.

But it's way too little, way too late. Brennaman nailed it postgame

with his "This is not a very good baseball team" opine.

On the field, it's Forrest Gump's "Box of Chocolates": you never know

what you're gonna' get. Finishing .500 is not championship baseball,

unless you're in the NL West...ahh, the good old days!

Now, they may very well be 'salvage fodder' for contending teams:

"Yes, we'd could use a {left handed bat}{right handed innings eating

pitcher}{experienced relief pitcher}{setup guy for our bullpen}{etc.}

and you can see the Reds in the role of the neighborhood parts place,

with contenders in all divisions browsing through Cincinnati's 'inventory'

of desirable players.

Reality is they suck. I'll say 2-4. They needed more than a touchdown, PAT, and fieldgoal today. Offense in the toilet. If they only win 2, I hope it's against leatherpants.

CP23 does not need to play anymore. I know he is pouting because they didn't celebrate his monumental milestone 100th HR as much as Griffey's 600th, but that is no excuse for hitting below .190 and NEVER getting a solid hit, always hitting it STRAIGHT up into the air.

I heard on ESPN, that if the Red Sox DO trade Manny, which is unlikely, but if they do, look for them to go after Dunn to fill that hole in the lineup.

can we agree to not say Wild Card. Please?:thumb:

I think that is safe to say and has been for......lets say opening day.

I wasn't saying wild card at any time lately and don't think that I did pre season, not sure though. This team has some good young players with potential for the future but no team leader or management of that talent. JMO

This trip 2-4 or 3-3.

:thumb: Certainly nothing to resemble the Big Red Machine, more like "the little red wagon"
