17 Ejections in Minor League Brawl

Featured Replies

Wow. Did anyone see the brawl between Peoria and Dayton? A pitcher tried to throw the ball into the opposing dugout and hit a fan. Managers were fighting. It was a crazy fight that resulted in 17 ejections. Here is a link on ESPN:

Wow, nasty and heated. Not what this great game, should be about. The pitcher, who threw the ball toward the dugout and struck a fan, needs suspended for the rest of the year.

Depending on the extend of the injury, I can see a civil suit from the fan who was injured, toward the pitcher.

That pitcher is currently in jail with a court date this morning. He could be facing a felony depending on the severity of the fan's injury. Madness.

Those darn Cubs. :madman::madman::fight::fight::fight:

Wow...Talk about things getting out of hand...

This team gets its attitude from Ryne Sandberg. Ryne has been involved in a few dustups as the manager. I believe he almost got into a fight with another manager during a game this season.

From the 2 videos I've seen, the umpires were way late in stepping in between the two managers.

How does the pitcher miss the dugout from 20 feet?

That's why he's still in A. :D:D

Walt Jocketty was in the stands for this one. He's one of the reasons the game was resumed without all of the suspensions. He called someone and said he didn't want to use his pitchers as fielders.

The Dayton team hit a guy in the 1st inning. It was the 4th batter hit in 2 games.

Both managers are going to take big hits and suspensions for their roles in this.

Seriously, can they complain about the hit batters if dude can't hit the dugout? Obviously he wasn't hitting guys on purpose...

For the record Ryne Sandberg wasn't even there for this...

And a Dayton player broke the 2nd baseman's leg for Peoria, I'd have thrown at the next batter too.

Was this a Baseball game or a full contact fight, pay-per-view.

No kidding! No place for all that crap in the greatest game on the planet!

Was it a dirty or clean play?
