Lot of solid 3 star talent mouting up in the Cats camp. I like it!

Now, if we can just get a committment from a big time QB

Kentucky gets a lot of players from LaGrange...

:thumb: Lagrange Ga. has been very good for Kentucky. I hope the trend continues.

I agree. That one location that needs extra special attn. :thumb:

I think the Cats are as close as I have seen in years to turning the table. They have been a lower tier SEC team, and now have moved to a middle tier team. Getting guys like this are what is needed to challenge the big boys.

Go Cats!!

Click on video's and watch #2 ... his defensive instincts and tackling is absolutely sick!

Wow! I really like the way this kid plays, ... at full speed! Nice pickup for the Cats! :thumb:

Hopefully these 3stars start turning into some 4stars. I believe they will. :thumb:

4 Stars would be nice but a roster full of 3 stars would be fine too. Seems like UK has had a mix of 3 stars and 2 stars in years past. This year, they don't seem to be targeting the 2 star prospects.

Does it matter? He's now a Cat. He can go to 1 star but it doesn't change his ability to make plays.

Everyone knows and goes after the 5-star and 4-star players. It is easy to identify them as recruits.

The real art to recruiting is to find the lowered rank players who are players to develop. This is where Kentucky needs to become more proficient in recruiting.

Just because the Floridas, Southern Cals, Texas, and Ohio States aren't knocking on a recruits door, does not mean the player can become an all-American.

I agree.

My point was that in the past couple years UK has had a fairly even mix of 2 and 3 starts but this year it seems that we are not having to "settle" (even though many may be good players) for 2 star recruits.

Rich Brooks would tell you that some of Kentucky's 2 and 3 star recruits would be ranked higher if the signed at a Florida, Ohio State, or another powerhouse school.

I think there is some truth to that frankly.

I pay NO attention to a downgrade OR upgrade AFTER the kid has committed.

Tristan Johnson committed to the Cats today. He is the Cats 14th verbal in the 09 class, 9 of which are rated 3-stars on Rivals.

Beat me to it..on my way to share the news!

I am really looking forward to watching LaGrange in person this season.

LaGrange has been real good to the Wildcat program.

Another score for the Wildcats. They also got another verbal yesterday from another LaGrange young man, the name escapes me. He is a 6-3 225 lb. DE.
