Well that was pretty crazy. Definitely saw a couple clouds that looked like funnel clouds.

Strange but living in Boone County I never heard the sirens going off! BTW airplanes are taking off from CVG again, so things must be fine for now!

I am working at the airport and they made everyone evacuate to the basement here in Concourse C. It was pretty interesting.

Heavy wind and rain at about 5:45 in Maysville; then it cleared up.

Looks like round 2 is about to start.

Well my insight cable just went out. Sure glad I don't have them as my ISP!

The ragged cloud bottoms that look like funnels are due to the humidity and the wind sheer going on under the storm. These wall clouds with scud clouds hanging from them look like tornadoes, but probably aren't true funnel clouds because they lack rotation.

That being said, everyone seems to think this was one of the nastiest looking storms to come through in a long time. I was out back and the sky had that nasty green color you see when the tornadoes are around. Then a huge web of lightning spread out over my head. Back in I went!!

Getting ready to come an awful storm here....Looks horrible outside, we have severe storm warnings and tornado warnings.

I was down in the woods in Kenton County when this thing rolled in. The trees and the hills blocked my view of the horizon so I didn't have the benefit of a warning. I just happened to look up and see these apocalyptic clouds racing over me. I felt like I was heading up Mount Doom in Mordor. Needless to say, I had an interesting drive home.

Did you have to catch a ride with Gwaihir the Windlord? Or did you actually see him?:D

I can not beleive what the sky looked like when I went outside in Erlanger. It looked like funnel clouds all around and then came marble size hale. It was ugly for about 15 minutes then the sun came back out and everything normal again. One lightning bold came down around Elsmere and then all the emergency vehicles went that way down Dixie Hwy. Some tree's down around my home in Erlanger heard no real damage to any homes. Thank God. JD

Wow...I hope eveyone is ok....we had nothing here in Bowling Green...we are supposed to get storms later in the week. I really do hope that everyone is alright.

We had two bouts with storms in Covington yesterday. The first was early afternoon, rain and strong winds. Then towards evening the thunderheads rolled in. I can't recall the last time I heard continuous thunder like that.
