There's a kid up here who is a friend of RTS' daughter. He's an amazing bass player. Every once in a while, he and one of their other buddies put on a backyard session for us. Very cool! We also need to get you to the Shadowbox. They have the best house band on the planet! But I would feel like a cop out if I switched before I got anywhere close to competent on the guitar.

No way man...Cop out?...I actually started out playing bass,and it made me a better guitar player...A friend of mine who is a bass player...He is left handed...When he started playing I could hardly teach him anything because He played a right handed bass upside down and did not reverse the strings...He became a great Bass Player because he made the instrument work for him...:thumb: Bass is Fun...And will make you a better guitar player... But if you insist I will play Bass...

July 22, 200818 yr If I can't find "Southern Rock Opera on vinyl I will break down and by it on CD...I will call CD Central tomorrow and find out if that was one of the LPs they have...:thumb: If they don't have it, I would rank the others in this order: Gangstabilly Decoration Day Brighter Than Creation's Dark (this is their current release, and it's outstanding) The Dirty South Pizza Deliverance A Blessing And A Curse Note: I haven't heard the live album -- Alabama (Butt) Whuppin' -- but I've seen the Truckers twice in concert, and they're amazing. You really won't be going wrong with any of these cuts.

Interestingly enough, the legend goes that Neil wrote "Powderfinger" -- one of his best-loved tunes by fans -- for Ronnie and Skynyrd to record.

July 22, 200818 yr Not sure why...but can't sleep at all. Woke up from a weird dream, but can't remember what it was...I just know that it was weird, lol. Seems like I am the only one on.
