Who debated it a McCreary Central fan??? Look back at his posts last year. He thought they had a chance last year to beat Bell??

 

Which being a fan or whatever he should but their is a time for reality.

I was always taught that positive thinking inherits positive actions. When a program is trying to build itself to the level of their compitition it is important for the administration, faculty, coaches players and community to be positive and to exhibit positive thoughts about the program. With that said, the 2 royal butt-kicking's that Mccreary took from Bell and Rockcastle last year resulted in a small victory for Mccreary Co. Everyone may ask what kinfd of victory can you find in such a massacare (actually 2 of them) well i will tell you. Those two games helped the players realize that they needed to get stronger which meant they needed to be in the weighjt room during the off season. This resulted in the McCreary co. football program having 40 kids in the weight room everyday. Now to some programs that sounds average or even below average but McCreary Co. usually had between 10 and 16 in the weight room in years past. If you don't think this weight room participation will have a positive effect on the up-coming season then your crazy. That was the victory those players and coaches took away from those two big time losses. Positive thinking creates positive results!

Surely you are not going to say Bell is not a state title contender? They were IMO the 2nd best team in 4A last year. LexCath was clearly a better team, but they gave them a better game than anyone else. Bell only lost 5 or 6 seniors. They are going to be very good, like anyone else they need to stay hungry and healthy though.

Does Bell think they can beat Lex. Cath. this year? Most of the state doesn't, which means they'll be Regional Runner's-Up again...which means no, they're not a state contender.

 

Bell may be Lex. Cath.'s best competition in 4A, but that doesn't excuse the fact that most of the State regards them as the best Regional Runner-Up in 4A.

Does Bell think they can beat Lex. Cath. this year? Most of the state doesn't, which means they'll be Regional Runner's-Up again...which means no, they're not a state contender.

 

 

 

Most of the state though should know Bell and Lexington Catholic aren't in the same region. Bell will be the heavy favorites in Region 4. They could play Lexington Catholic in the state semifinals.

I would like to see your poll you took of the state's opinion. :laugh:Your pessimistic attitude towards Bell seems a little like jealousy to me. Lex. Catholic had all they wanted from Bell last year from a team that had 1 senior to their 3. Take away two or 3 mistakes and I think the outcome last year would have been very different. We here on the mountain are very optimistic. We show 100 percent support, 100 percent of the time.

The percentage was much less than that. Bell only had 6 seniors I believe and LexCath had like 35+. Correct me if I am wrong.

I don't think anyone is trying to be cocky here. But LexCath lost a whole lot more than Bell Co. lost. Losing Israel, Winston Guy, Corvin, etc is a big loss. That being said its LexCath. They will dress 100 kids probably and be a very good football team. But I would also say that Bell is a state title contender.

 

But I suppose you are saying that LexCath is the only 4A team that is a title contender.

:lol: Exactly. Some of the comments crack me up. You are right. It does not mean Bell won't be a title contender if Knox Central or Rockastle think they can beat Bell Co.

Right, I know how difficult it is for a district team to beat Bell, but now we're not even allowed to think about it.

I agree, and as funny as some of the remarks are; my many years of watching the game of football (at every level) has made me realize this: the ball used in football is not round and does not always bounce like it should and the best team dosen't always win, so on "Any Given Friday Night" anyone can get beat and that is why we play the game!:banana:

Bell will be very good, but will they be beat. Knowing some of the teams on Bells schedule there will be a couple of games that they need to be at their best or they will be on the wrong side of the scoreboard.
