I don't know what his reason is, but mine is that Bogans is both stronger and quicker than Crawford, which makes it less likely Crawford will stick or have the success Bogans has had.

Bogans did average more points while at Ky.

We heard the exact same negativity before and after Rondo was drafted. We are about the only ones who doubt our fans, goo that we are just throwing around opinions and they don't really matter in the long run. Good luck again to Joe and I hope he makes his fans and UK proud and the ones who doubt him eat crow!

As 98 said Crawford is not long enough for the NBA. He doesn't handle the ball well enough either, that would be my biggest complaint about his game. And, as you said, he will need to improve on his defense and foot speed. Might be a step or two slow for the league. He is a good shooter but not a great shooter. If you are just a "good" shooter you can't be a liability on the defensive end and you have to be able to creat your own shot and get to the lane on a consistent bases. Also, how is Joes passing game when he gets into the lane? I dont recall many assist by Joe at his time at UK, could be wrong about that though.

I don't see him making the team. I wouldn't be surprised if he played in the NBDL for a while and then got called up again but if not, playing bball for a living in Europe would be just fine with me.

True, but I don't think there is a UK player in the NBA right now, besides Antoine Walker, that there weren't big doubts about and it seems like they are all doing fine...I believe Crawford will be the same.

All jokes aside though, the determining factor for Joe is how hard he works and how much the Lakers are wanting to help him out. Instead of trying to predict what happens to Joe, I will just sit back and hope for the best for him.

I was just trying to make an incognito joke out of it MJ but I'm glad that you caught it.

 

Most people would consider Pope horrible, and most certainly on the negative list another poster alluded to earlier, but again like you said, he got 6 years in. So certainly Crawford has to have a pretty good chance, I can't really see how posters are doubting him so severely.
