Out of all the forums I post in, this is the one I post the least in. I did have a nice debate on affirmative Action a few weeks ago. I am usually in the minority on most topics on BGP and this would be another.

I have posted more in P&R lately than I ever have. I stayed away from it for the most part for quite a while. This last stretch though it seems that the posters are more respectful to one another than they were in the past. I am still trying not to make a habit of it though :lol:. I am sure that I will see some of you around on here (P&R) again every now and then, I am just not going to make a habit of posting on here.

 

Besides, we know who the candidates are now and I cannot stand one and am not crazy about the other so untill closer to November there is really no use :lol: :thumb:.

Several reasons...

- Most of the people in this forum are crazy! :laugh::laugh:

- I DO NOT like politics...it's all a bunch people promising a bunch crap and then they get into office and they don't do what they promised.

- Because I DO NOT like politics I tend to tune it out as often as possible so I do not have the knowledge that some on here do.

- Religion is a very personal thing. While I do not understand all religions...I do try to respect other peoples religious choices. I refuse to tell others that they are wrong or right or going to hell because of their beliefs.

- Did I mention that most people in this forum are crazy??? :lol::lol::lol:

There are plenty of people that will never see things my way, and while I can live with that, I usually see no purpose in trying to express my thoughts to a closed mind. If I try, it's as frustrating as working in fast-food and it makes me say "bring on the comets", because surely a better species can take over the world. That might be a slight exaggeration, and I know that a lot of people are purely being "THAT GUY" that like to rile others up, but there really ARE people who are like that that I've met face to face and it's just sad.

 

It's strange, because as much as I have my live-and-let-live attitude, and moderate political stance, I really find myself falling into Peprock's "cold" method of thinking every now and then. Sometimes it seems annihilation is the only way to make things better.

I used to be a lot more active in the P/R forum than I am now, and I guess you can probably thank the idiot resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and his lackeys for that. They seem to have done a great job of completely souring me on national politics.

 

But I'll get into a back-and-forth argument on occasion in here — whether I believe in what I'm advocating or not — just to stay sharp. I will confess that I often arrive to the party late on a lot of threads.
