The 13th region is loaded once again with B-ball talent. If you look @ my list 6 out of my 10 are from the 13th. The other thing to look @ is two of the other players use to play in the 13th region.:thumb:

Just curious, how many of these players do you think will play at the next level?(College) I see only 3 outside to 4. Miller, Whitaker, St. John, and maybe Zachery.

Charles (Lee Co) holds his own with any listed plus he is a 6'4" guard. Letters from EKU already as well as from several smaller schools.

No list is even close to being accurate without listing a couple of the Shelby Valley starters and a couple of the Elliot County boys...

Johnson from Corbin will definantly play college ball somewhere. Several colleges will jump on a 6'3 guard with his ability.

Johnson is around 6'4 1/2 or 6'5".

Corbin has two players that will play @ the next level and Pineville has Strange the 6'1 PG. If you have not seen Strange play then you need to go and watch him. I think he was the best PG in the 13th region last season.:thumb:

How many people from the 13th Region watch much 15th Region basketball and vice versa? You can only vote on who you see.

I agree with this. Charles is a very good player. One of the best in the 14th and the mountains.

Elliot Co. is not a mountain team in my book.

Just curious, if Elliott County is not a mountain school, then what do you lable that mountainous area when we're talking basketball or other sports? I mean, we have the Bluegrass area, central Kentucky, etc. What should we call the area where these schools are located? There's plenty of mountains there, but evidently that geograpical fact is not good enough, the only mountain schools in Kentucky (per the CJ and HL) are in the 13th through 15th regions. So, Laurel County is in the mountains (which it is, half the county is a coal producer) but Elliott and Lawerence are not.:confused:

Elliott and Lawrence Co are normally considered in the North-Eastern Kentucky area. The Independent covers them and includes them in the North-Eastern Kentucky All-Area teams.

 

North-Eastern Kentucky normally consists of: Greenup Co, Boyd Co, Carter Co, Lawrence Co, Lewis Co, Elliott Co, Magoffin Co, Morgan Co, and Rowan Co.

Charles of Lee showed during summer that he is a very capable player and should be included in any talk of the top mountain players.

Watched Strange at least six times last year and saw him twice at G-Town team camp last week, nice high school player but would struggle at many levels in the college ranks. When considering players from the 13-14 regions for college basketball remember the Cash kid that played at Rockcastle a few years back, I saw him play at the NAIA D1 level and he had a hard time getting the ball up the floor and his defense was terrible. He was one of the best the 13th had and was a coaches son and he didn't have the talent to play for U Cumberlands.
