June 10, 200818 yr No way I would have given an error to Votto on that.... Does it say somewhere that if the ball is hit hard it can't be an error on the fielder? That ruling confuses me more than any other in baseball. If a ball is hit right at a guy and it hits his glove it should be an error if he doesn't make the play.
