(Sports) Talk Radio in Cincy Changing????

Featured Replies

I have some thoughts:

Angries - I don't consider it sports talk and whenever I turn it on they are NEVER talking about sports, as far as I am concerned they don't even apply to this group any longer.

Cutler - By far the best sports radio host, he is a natural. I like the strong opinions (agree or disagree). My only knock is he comes off a little arrogant at times but that is by no means a deal breaker. I think he does fantastic interviews.

Mo - Intelligent and articulate but he either needs a good sidekick or he has to spend a lot more time preparing for his show each day. And I can't stand the woman with a lisp that is on his show. The powers that be need to dump her for a real partner.

Lance - I appreciate the effort and I generally like his show. However, he goes off sports too much and like gt I have noticed more shock jock stuff the last couple of years and I don't care for that. Lance also does great interviews. What I like best about Lance is I feel like he is my friend (I have never met him).

Doc - I have very few flight hours on this model and I don't see that changing any.

It is amazing how two people can see things so differently. I agree that he conducts good interviews. However, he's like the loud kid that thinks he wins every argument by shouting over his opponent. Every time that I have listened to a caller make a strong point that Cutler disagrees with, he interrupts the caller and just gets loud and annoying. That, and he repeats everything he says.

I totally agree. I can't even listen to him anymore. I have no idea why he just repeats everything he says just louder and louder. It irritates me to no end.

That is the arrogant part I don't like.

If you put the arrogant part aside (hard to do I know) he blows the other guys out of the water.

However, like so many others, I can only listen to so much talk radio before I bail to classic country or Jeff and Jen on Q102. :creepy:

Hopefully you'll be listening to all of your stations owned by the same company soon... :sssh:

That is a great summary of Cutler. I quit listening to him last week and haven't even been tempted to go back.

I think Cutler picks his battles. If in Cutler's mind you are informed and making an intelligent point he is generally OK. However, if you are ignorant, want to ask questions but refuse to answer questions, and generally don't have your act together he will bite your head off.

In both of those cases Cutler may not agree with you but he handles each type of caller in different ways.

So when is Bonneville buying CC?

They wouldn't be buying CC. Just some (or all) of the talk stations...

Ok. So when is this supposed to go down?
