Does Obama Need Hillary?

RebelK, fist of all it is so glad to see you posting again. What you have been through reminds us all of the things that are really important in life and it sure is not politics.;) We differ greatly on a lot of things but I certainly respect your views whether or not I agree with you on some things or not.

I certainly 100% agree with your comment about Obama. There is no way that I could vote for the man. I just ask myself what would happen if God forbid that our country comes under another attack like it did on 9/11/01. This scares me to death and especially if we had someone that has absolutely "0" experience with anything to do with anything to resemble foriegn affairs and especially no knowledge of our own military. Truthfully, I really don't think that this man cares about our military.

I am afraid that there are so many college kids (and I am certainly not against college) that have been listening to all of these far laft wing wacko college professors and think that they know it all bc a certain political science, liberal arts or some other professor pushes his or her agenda on them. A college education is great but untill they get out in the real world they don't really know squat. That is not a cut on any of our college students, just imo the truth.

I agree with another poster that stated this on another thread when talking about our choices this election....."Where the heck is Ross Perot??" :D

How did George Bush qualify based on the above? He had no first hand experiece with foreign affairs. His only military knowledge was a dubious stint in the Air Force National Guard that kept him from combat.

Then again, maybe you do have a point.

I just can't imagine Hillary settling for being second incharge again. She had a tuff time doing it during Bill's presidency and I just can't see it happening again. Too many Chiefs in the White House.

If Obama is going to stick by his campaign slogan for a new America and it is time for change, well then he better make it a complete change. Mrs. Clinton was President (Assistant Pres.) for eight years. Where is the change in that if Obama picks her for a running mate.

I hadn't thought of that before. I got a chuckle from the bolded, and what you say is true.

I heard a comedian joking about that once...maybe Leno, not sure.

He said Bush's stint in the Texas Air Force National Guard at least helped protect Dallas from the Viet Cong. LOL.

Imagine the money that would be raised by these two.

My opinion is if Hilliary isn't the VP nominee, Obama has a 0% chance in the general election, and I think he knows it. If I'm Hilliary I say no dice, and win the nomination in 2012, because I'd be shocked if McCain is anything more than a one termer.

First off - it's great to be back........My husband and I were just talking about what is important in life. I think that what I went through, and him because it was me, has changed our outlook on a lot of things.

I agree with you.........I don't have to like your views because we all have our own opinion, but I do like it that we can disagree but still remain friends.

I just can't quite put my finger on what bothers me the most about Obama but something does. It has nothing to do with his race becaues I truly never see color. I think he's a nice enough young man and has worked hard to make something of himself but something about him scares me.

You may be right, but I'm not sure that Obama can't win without Hillary. But if I'm Obama, there is no way I choose Hillary if for no other reason, that it brings Bill with it. This past campaign has shown that Bill has become a loose wire or cannon. Hillary couldn't control him during the campaign. I'd lalready be awake "at 3 am when the call came in" if I was Obama because I'd be up worrying about what Bill was up to if Hillary was the VP. I'd be worried about him using his "clout" as former President to undercut my policies that he disagreed with; I'd be worried about he and Hillary trying to make me look bad as the President so that it positions her to run as President against me in 2012; and I'd be worried about what shenanigans he'd get into which could bring discredit to my administration. Heck, I'd be worried about leaving my wife alone with him in the White House.:D
