June 4, 200818 yr I agree that the ticket would be a huge favorite. Hillary as the VP candidate wouldn't be near as polarizing as she would at the top and I don't believe the republicans would come out in mass to vote against her.
June 4, 200818 yr I just can't imagine Hillary settling for being second incharge again. She had a tuff time doing it during Bill's presidency and I just can't see it happening again. Too many Chiefs in the White House. If Obama is going to stick by his campaign slogan for a new America and it is time for change, well then he better make it a complete change. Mrs. Clinton was President (Assistant Pres.) for eight years. Where is the change in that if Obama picks her for a running mate.
June 4, 200818 yr Hillary will support Obama ---- I will not. If she plans trying for this position again, she will have to do what the party tells her to do. I don't think he will offer her the VP. I don't think he's strong enough to handle Hillary as his sidekick. I asked my college nephews who they are leaning toward and they both told me Obama. I asked them why and they told me that he's different and they think he's going to make changes. I asked them if him having almost no experience worries them and they said no. This is what scares me the most. He will make changes, he is different but no one seems to care if he is short on experience (IMO). Oh well it's out of my hands, so now I will just schedule something fun to do on election day because I won't be standing in line to vote. RebelK, fist of all it is so glad to see you posting again. What you have been through reminds us all of the things that are really important in life and it sure is not politics. We differ greatly on a lot of things but I certainly respect your views whether or not I agree with you on some things or not. I certainly 100% agree with your comment about Obama. There is no way that I could vote for the man. I just ask myself what would happen if God forbid that our country comes under another attack like it did on 9/11/01. This scares me to death and especially if we had someone that has absolutely "0" experience with anything to do with anything to resemble foriegn affairs and especially no knowledge of our own military. Truthfully, I really don't think that this man cares about our military. I am afraid that there are so many college kids (and I am certainly not against college) that have been listening to all of these far laft wing wacko college professors and think that they know it all bc a certain political science, liberal arts or some other professor pushes his or her agenda on them. A college education is great but untill they get out in the real world they don't really know squat. That is not a cut on any of our college students, just imo the truth. I agree with another poster that stated this on another thread when talking about our choices this election....."Where the heck is Ross Perot??"

Hillary is far too power hungry to serve as Obama's "assistant". I just thought of another very scary scenerio........Obama's Military knowledge and experience with Hillary's healh care plan. :scared:

Buy stock in Woodford Reserve.
June 4, 200818 yr I feel a President, who is the Commander in Chief should have a military background. If you've ever served our country, or had a spouse on the home front while you did serve you would understand the feelings.

I 1000% agree, it should be a requirement of anyone running for the Presidency. I have a family member currently serving in Afghanistan and would hate to think that he may be serving under someone with absolutely no military experioence or even any knowledge of our military, that really scares me and imo should scare anyone.

Bush was a reserve air national guard right? Kerry was in Nam. It would be nice to have it but it shouldn't be a requirment. At this point, someone who knows how to run the country and it's economy would be nice.
June 4, 200818 yr It would also be nice if the President understood what military member's and their families endure while their loved one's serve Iraq and Afghanistan.

June 4, 200818 yr Obama is in a no win situation right now. Pick Hillary and you have a lot of issues and going to have a White House power struggle with her and Bill if they win. Don't pick her and you alienate the group of voters you have to win over to win in November and you are already struggling to attract them.
June 4, 200818 yr IMO Obama/Hillary ticket would be a clear favorite to win in November. I agree, BUT there is going to have to be a lot of selling because Bill and Hillary have made it perfectly clear that Obama is not ready to lead on day one. And so they are putting her in as VP to help him with that???? I don't think the Obama supporters want her on the ticket. Especially after the speech she made tonight.

I can certainly see what you are saying and you make some good points in both post. I still feel that Obama may extend the vp offer to Hillary. I believe that he will need her to carry Ohio, Michigan and a couple of other key states. JMO and I am certainly no political expert and don't claim or want to be. On another note. I listened to Barak's speech tonight and the man can definately make a speech, he has McCain beaten badly in that area. His speech sounded great and then you get to thinking about it and he really didn't offer up anything but his "Change" and he hasn't ever said what change. A couple of his suggestions makes you wonder just how he is going to pay for it. I believe that we know that.....HELLO TAXES!!. Another note on health care......"if we think that health care is expensive now (and it is), just wait untill it's free" :scared:.
