As for 1A I look for Gallatin Co. to be strong this year and maybe everything goes right for them contenders for at least their district:thumb:

Rule 13

North Laurel should be better. 1-9 Last year, but return a good number of players and have a decent coaching staff. It will be interesting to seem if they can turn it around.

 

I really feel like North Laurel can get up to 4 wins this fall, which may get them a 4 seed in the playoffs. NL helped their cause the day they moved Andrew Roark up to OC.

Lone Oak coming back to reality this year ???

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Lone Oak ran the table again during the regular season. Especially, since they host both Hopkins Co Central & Calloway

County.

 

Lone Oak defense should be downright Nasty this year & the offense will be high octane. The cupboard isn't bare. Look for the Oakers to go deep in the playoffs!

 

They won't be near as strong this year as last. Say what you want, but, there QB made them go last year and there top receiver will be at QB so there goes your best receiving threat. There defense should be better, because they weren't very good last year, at least not against any of the decent teams they faced...

So you're saying Campbellsville will reach the State Semi-Finals? Last season they took one on the chin in the regional finals vs. Hazard. Hazard returns nearly everyone from that same team.

 

Not sure how the district lineups are this year, but, yes, I think Campbellsville could be one of the teams to go a long ways in the playoffs. I also think Hazard will be one of Top teams in all of Class A this year, but, after an undefeated season and a state semi berth, I'm not sure they could do alot more to be considered an improved team to look out for...

I'm going to say that Ludlow will be an improved team. Some of the seniors will be playing for their 3rd head coach. In talking to some of the kids I see a different attitude about them.

New attitude, new coach, new offense seems to have the kids, the school and the community all feeling very positive about the direction that Coach Hornsby will take the Panthers in this coming fall after a couple of dismal seasons. Good luck to Coach Hornsby and his Panthers..

Simon Kenton returns a good core of players. Watch out for them if they get Simpson rolling and that offense b/c their is a pretty good amount of talent there.

Expect Grant County in the playoffs. There are 15 hungry seniors that have made the playoffs their number one priority.

I have heard much the same and I hope Ludlow is very successful under new coach Rick Hornsby. A quality gentleman who will earn the respect of his players quickly and be a very positive role model for all the players on the team. Ludlow came out way ahead in this situation IMO..:thumb:

Bourbon Co will be better than last year, Massie has some leaders amoung the seniors this year. Saw them compete 7 on 7 if they can find a QB and use T Barnes as RB WR they will be more versatile

:thumb:I know just about all the players and have talked to a great many and I have yet to hear any of them say anything that isn't positive about the

new coach and how they look forward to putting the past 2 years behind them. They all seem very excited as you mention in your post to play for Coach Hornsby.
