Brackens MS Coaching staff has taken a program that was winless in 5 years straight to district champions in 3 years. I know that HS ball and MS ball are totally different but these guys seem to have the right idea and have created a winning attitude down at that level. They have had the same coaches for the last three years now going on 4 so they seem to have at least the know how on how to rebuild a program. The problem Bracken has is these players that move up seem to not stick with football once they get to the HS. If they play hard for the MS coaches why cant the HS coaches keep them. All I can say is good luck to the high school program and keep up the good work at the MS program.

The middle school has had approx. 60 kids the last 2 years, they have had winning seasons the last 2 years, the last being district champions defeating Frankfort, Emince in the playoffs. This program is not dead, maybe coach Breeze and coach May should coach the varsity team they seem to do a good job with the kids in the middle school.

The number of kids involved in the middle school program have grown, there are roughly 80 kids involved in middle school football. Bracken Co. has a great football boosters committee which keeps the community involved. Even though the high school team has suffered the middle school program has made great strides and this will eventually help the high school team.

Bracken Co. will be much improved this year. They might surprise a few.

Bracken Co. is still a young team, I think with the success the middle school is having and the number of kids getting involved the program has no where to go but up.
