May 19, 200818 yr Darren Feldhaus, Mark Blakefield, anyone from Mason Co. to help me out on the next one...? Chris Morris is very good also. He plays golf at Centre.
May 19, 200818 yr Darren Feldhaus, Mark Blakefield, anyone from Mason Co. to help me out on the next one...? Michael Shumaker was (still is) pretty tough. Shawn White, Ben Hensley, and Josh Weber are some others. Chris Morris is very good also. He plays golf at Centre. Add Leslie Fossett to the list. She went to Eastern.but transfered to Northern Ky and finished up her college golf there.
May 19, 200818 yr Add Leslie Fossett to the list. She went to Eastern.but transfered to Northern Ky and finished up her college golf there. One of my favorite people in the world! And yes, she was pretty tough on the links.
May 19, 200818 yr Steve Flesch currently lives in Boone County. Not sure where he's originally from either, though. I know but he attended CCH which of course is in Kenton Cty so that's why I put him in there.
May 19, 200818 yr That's who I meant, not Michael. He played for Morehead St. from about 1992-95 I believe. Eric was a roomate of mine for about a year in college. He's about 6'5 or 6'6. I've got a couple of good stories on him. Most I can't post but golf wise: 1. I was at the driving range at Eagle Trace. I thought my driver was broken so I told him to check it out. He hit the 1st ball 300 plus yds on the drive then turned around in his sarcastic way and said "it looks fine too me" 2. We hadn't really seen him play so we went out to a tourny at Eagle Trace after class. We caught up with him around the 11th hole. The first shot we saw was a blind flop shot from over the hill on the side of the green. He flopped it up and holed it! The next hole was a par three. He stuck the green but was about 60 ft from the hole with a huge unglation + elevation. He brought his putter back, hit the ball then turned away from it looking at us and said "money". Sure enough he drained it! He had game but I'd never tell him that! The best two in Lawrence Co right now are probably Bobby Preece and Ed Dixon. Brent Peterson moved but he was good too. I know in Mason Co that Lawrence Co's previous football coach Billy Goldsmith had a lot of stories about how good his dad was in Maysville back in the day. I think he was the golf pro there back in the day. I think Kenny Perry is from Pikeville. Bart Johnson is from KY too I think.
May 19, 200818 yr Chris Morris is very good also. He plays golf at Centre. Yes, Chris is very good young player. But I don'tthink he compares to these players mentioned, but one day he will. Just a little bit of fact. Mark Blakefield wins his first pro tourny in Georgetown, Ky on Sunday. Here is a link to the story: http://www.kentucky.com/232/story/409132.html
May 20, 200818 yr From Bell Co. the top 2 are definitely Matt Gann and George Cadle. Matt may end up on the PGA tour one day and Cadle played on it for several years before giving up golf. Not really sure who the third would be. Maybe me?
May 20, 200818 yr There are a few youngster around here(Robertson County) that can play a little golf. The best one I've seen is Josh Goddard(signed to play at Union next year) If I'm not mistaken he's been to state a couple of times.

May 25, 200818 yr Andy Plummer is the best I know of from Lewis County. He is a big time instructor and swing coach on the PGA tour now.

Last time I talked to him that's where he was. I would add Shawn Tipton to the Powell Co. list. He won the OVC his first year at Morehead.
