May 10, 200818 yr One more week till it's all over LOL. To be honest I can't wait till it gets here. With all the planning that goes into a wedding I just want it to be over so we can relax. The countdown is on!!
May 10, 200818 yr I'm sure we have plenty of guys on the board who can help send you off in style.
May 10, 200818 yr Unless I'm mistaken, BigColonel and Kentuckyblue are tying the knot as we speak! :dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa
May 10, 200818 yr Just go ahead and do what you want to do the rest of the week because you won't get to after next weekend.
May 10, 200818 yr Her side "I'm tired of doing all of it all the time." "It's the psychic energy that's so draining. I have to be responsible for things even if I'm not in charge of them." "How come he can fix a car engine but can't figure out how to put the toilet paper on the roll?" His side "When I do the grocery shopping, she says I buy the wrong tomato sauce." "She'll find one spot of food on a pot and yell, 'Is this what you call clean?'" "The fact that I can't remember to put my socks in the hamper is not a personal attack against her. I' just...forget." Good Luck NC84...If I've made it 23 years, anyone can.
May 11, 200818 yr Another one bites the dust. Glad to have you in the club.....you might as well be as miserable as the rest of us. (j/k of course, Congrats NEWCATH :thumb:. I love my wife more than anything, have been married 22 years in May. I wish you many, many happy years ahead)
May 11, 200818 yr Congrats NEWCATH, I hope you will be happy together. It took me 3 tries, but I finally found the right one, and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. (Well, almost nothing........)
May 11, 200818 yr I knew a man who was getting married, and every married man he spoke to told him horror stories about their wives. After he got married people asked him how he liked being married, would just say, "It's everything I was told it would be".

May 11, 200818 yr If you can survive the first year then you will be okay. My friend told me that and I didn't understand until after I was married. It is an adjustment living with someone when you are use to living by yourself.
May 11, 200818 yr Ever heard the saying "Put a penny in a jar for every time . . . the first year and remove one for every time . . . each year thereafter and you will never empty the jar?" Been 20 years now for me. I have no comment on the jar situation.
May 11, 200818 yr Congrats. PH and I are very happy in our marriage. It takes communication, understanding, friendship, love...tell her everything and she needs to tell you everything. Never talk bad about each other to other people...always good. If you have a problem, talk about it, never hold grudges. Let your love grow more and more by the minute, hour, day, week, month and year. Just when I think I can not love PH anymore than I already do, he does something that makes my heart swell and I find myself loving him even more. Always remember the good times and forget the bad ones. Live and love like tomorrow will not come because it might not. Things and people change....love and embrace the changes, never want it back the way it used to be...it will not be that way again. I pray for you all to have a wonderful life together.
May 11, 200818 yr Author Thanks for all the kind words. We have lived together for two years and have a beautiful one year old little girl. To me not to much will change just her name and a piece of paper that says we are married. I am looking forward to Saturday and can't wait for our trip to Hilton Head SC!!
