Folks at FCHS are glad he is back. I am sure East Ridge who has such a great track record of keeping football coaches around will give plenty of non-political commitment to the next guy.

Well, J.D. I think you will find that politics is in all school systems, in fact, politics is in everything. If you know someone, you have a greater chance of rising in any given profession. With that being said, if you are not "in" you have a lot of these avenues blocked. Just a fact of life. I do want to see E.R. make a solid commitment to whoever gets the job and give them some time to get the job done.

Did Thacker go through Spring Practice with East Ridge?

 

No.

Listen everyone I know coach Thacker pretty good. He listened to what East Ridge had to offer. He was interested.

 

The reason he stayed is Floyd Quire and Lamar Davis made him a better offer to stay at Franklin County.
