Track the Cubs (week 4)

Featured Replies

13-6, nice 8th inning rally to put the Mets away tonight. Good to see Pie finally hit the ball. After tonight, Cubs should be #1 in the League in Runs scored, batting average and pitches per at bat. Cubs are winning in all ways, scoring big, small and wall ball, Go Cubs Go!!!:dancingpa

Their record is 13-6. They won 7-1. Good early start to the season.

I also thought he meant the score was 13-6..haha

Glad the Cubs won, and they can continue to beat the NL East as long as it's not the Braves!

Yep, all the Cubs fans will be happy to fill up GABP since the Reds fans don't want to come and support their team. :p

Ooooooooo.

I had the Cubs -1 1/2 tonight, so I was pretty tense when they had the bases loaded with noone out and failed to score until a clutch 2-out hit!

Cubs win again, beat the Mets for the 2nd straight day.

They are now 14-6, their best 20 game start since 1975. That team ended up finishing the season at 75-87.

Who won in 75? It was some team that didn't stay over .500 until May 21st. :sssh::lol:

Reed Johnson is really helping the cubbies. For some strange reason the team seems to be playing better without Soriano. I still think the cubbies need to go after a top SS.

Team Chemistry is too good right now. Another Ace type starter would be nice though in case Lilly continues to struggle. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. Keep Johnson in the line up and let Pie give days off IMO

Johnson has stepped in and been very solid. Hendry had his eye on him for a while and it seems as if he always makes good decisions when it involves getting guys to come in and get the job done. As for the SS position, I am very high on Theriot for some reason. Every season my aspiration has been the SS position but I really think Theriot will continue to improve and he is already a solid player. I just hope he can stay healthy. I'm no where near as big on Ronny Cedeno but he seems to always do okay as long as he is in the fill in role.

On another note I am so so glad to see the Cubs doing good early, hopefully they continue their success after the all-star break as they have in past seasons and really post a lot of wins this season. Last years NL Central race was a white knuckler, hopefully this season will not be as intense, but have the same result.

I like Theriot and Cedeno at short. I really liked the pickup of Johnson when they made it. Lilly is a concern but they have some people ready to move in. They just need to find a left handed stick in the lineup other than Koske

Rocket, what do you think about Pie stepping up? I have nothing but high hopes for him as I think in about five years he could be one of the best Center-Fielders in the game. As for right now keep the roles the same and let both Reed and Felix keep doing what their doing.
