January 9, 201313 yr ^This will be interesting. Netflix is also putting out a show, "House of Cards" starring Kevin Spacey as a Washington politician on February 1st. The concept is intriguing as the entire season worth of episodes will be available immediately, so viewers can watch at their own pace and not have to wait a week for each new episode. I've heard Arrested Development is going to be done similarly, although I'm not certain if its release is dependent on the success of House of Cards.

The article I linked to said that Arrested Development IS being released the same way as House of Cards, and that they already increased the number of episodes that they ordered largely due to the fact that they had so much material filmed already. That being said, I can't imagine it's release is going to be dependent on the success of another show.
