It's been a long and difficult four months since a local banana tree was savagely attacked, beaten and left for dead. But this brave little plant has made a stunning recovery from its injuries. In what some in horticultural circles are calling a "miracle grow," the tree has come back to full health and has even surpassed some of its neighbors.

 

When asked how he felt about the attack by the as yet unnamed assailant, the tree replied, "Even though the search for the dirtball that attacked me has been fruitless; I have strong roots in this community, and would be nuts to leave."

 

Since the April attack, measures have been taken to prevent further violence; but authorities have been unable to develop any credible leads in the case.

Well! Resurecting this old thread has taught me something. Last week I was exploring the User CP and happened to click on "attachments". It said I was using X amount of storage for some number of attachments. Well, being the nice guy I am, I decided I would delete all those attachments and save space on the server. I had no idea why they were stored or what would happen until I read this thread and noticed that my posts no longer had funny pictures attached, just what are now dorky statements that no one will understand.

 

New knowledge does not come without a cost for me.

BF I want to sincerely than you for this update.

 

Since this story broke I have lost countless hours of sleep wondering if that brave tree would ever recover and being paranoid, that at any moment a piece of landscaping near and dear to me may face such a cruel atack from a suspect still on the run. All is well in BGP land...all is well.

He would if he actually had made any bananas.

 

We have three of those trees now. None have produced fruit yet; but it takes a few years before that happens.
