Plus, it really hurts the Heels chances when Hansbrough doesn't get to flail and flop and go to the foul line every time...the refs let them play on both ends and didn't baby Psycho T like most do.

My thoughts exactly. I don't think it hurt that the game was in Texas instead of Carolina either. Refs tend to call things more straight up on a neutral court. -- I realize the NCAA tries to give top seeds preference in location, but it seems the Heels never have to leave the state. When UK was a number one a couple years ago they send them to Minnesota to play Wisconsin and Marquette. UNC doesn't have to travel 150 miles. Wouldn't it be nice if UK could play in Lousiville or even Knoxville sometime?

Davidson played Kansas to a 2 point game, and had a shot to win at the buzzer. UNC trailed the Jayhawks by 28, and lost by 18. Today, the Wildcats probably feel that they're the #1 team in North Carolina.

I agree with all of the above except I still felt they let TH bait them into some bad calls against KU.

Wow, that first half was brutal! I was pleased that they did not give up and cut the lead to 4 in the 2nd half. There is no way you go 9 minutes without scoring and expect to win against a team like Kansas. I give Jayhawks their props, they came out on fire and UNC did not have an answer. I wish the Kansas team that played Davidson would have showed up… :lol:

Yeah, but Kansas came out on fire shooting 70 % at the half way point of the first half. The Jayhawks came out the same way against Texas in the big 12 championship.

 

I do concur that UNC biggest weakness is their defense and I am sure that will be what they work on the most from now to this time next year.

I was thinking the UK - Vandy game last night watching the game. I did not know if UNC was ever going to make a basket.

I agreed with the first half analysis- UNC was so used to dominating that when they had a bad stretch early they fell apart. Then UNC regained composure, exploited some bad decisions from Kansas and clawed back in- only to lose it when they couldn't take the lead on their charge.

I think they dug to big of a hole to craw out of.

I tried to root for Carolina with the ACC ties....but I couldn't I laughed so hard at how dominant Kansas was, and how Hansbrough looked so high school level today. Then I think at how they made Duke look silly, and it's scary....

Tyler is as good on offense as anyone I have ever seen in the game....but he can't guard a fence post!

UCLA and UNC both lose convincingly.

There was peace in the valley here as well...it just goes to show you...you can recruit the best in the country,but you have to motivate them when the big games come around. How many #1 seeds has Williams taken into the tourney since 1992?? Anyone know? Just curious.
