The NFL is the worst! I've seen things done around kids that are totally inexcusable at Begnals games. Didn't a Bengals fan get beat in Jacks a couple of years ago and die?

 

One got beat up in a parking lot after the game, a former Cov Cath student, didn't die though.

I've been fortunate to not run into many drunk fans. Worst I ever saw was a Green Bay fan at PBS a few years back.

I saw some guy that looked like a TNA wrestler smacking everybody he went by in the parking lot at a Bengals game. I also was watching a game when two guys went rolling down the steps of the stadium fighting (it was kind of funny). The worst was a bunch of drunk guys heckling some little kid for having on a Tony G jersey when the Chiefs got beat in Cincy. The kid might have been 10.

It goes on everywhere. My buddy is a huge Pitt fan. He got box seats in Cleve to watch them play. He was smart enought not to wear Steelers stuff. He said when they were walking out of the stadium a bunch of Cleve fans were smackign on the windshield of an old couples car. He said they had on their Pitt stuff and looked like they were about 80.

As wild as Cincy was Tenn was almost boring from a fans standpoint. Bironas got us tickets about 7 rows from the field but it was dead down there.

Have you been to a Giants game, in Giants stadium? Giants fans are not that bad. Jets fans, I've heard are idiots. I have talked to quite a few people who have been to Giants stadium as opposing fans, none have told me about a bad experience. Giants fans are harder on Giants players than they are on opposing fans. Heck there's even a Youtube video of two Packers fans getting into it in Giants stadium...not a Giants and Packers fan.

 

The fans in the stadiums I've been to are not as bad as Cincinnati's, whether you like it or not. I've been to Atlanta (2 times), Tennessee (2 times) and Giants stadium (2 times) and I've never seen fans as bad as Cincinnati's. Are they the worst in the league? Maybe not. Are they worse than Atlanta's, New York's, and Tennessee's? By far. Maybe it's the decades of bad football...

 

 

Wait a minute. You've been to 2 games and you know they are worse than those other 2. I was in Jacksonville for a Bengals game wearing my Bengals gear and had an absolute blast. Their fans were the best. Almost every single one of them offered food and beer while tailgating. One person jokingly got on me about the Bengals. I would love to go back. Now ask the guy from Cov Cath what he thinks of Jax fans. B/c a few people at 2 Bengals games gave you a hard time while you're wearing the oppsoing teams gear does not mean Bengals fans are horrible. I would be willing to bet that at the same game you were at some Giants fans had a blast.

I have came dangerously close to altercations over this type of stuff - especially when my little girl was with me at a Devil Rays game in Tampa.

 

Really, a Devil Rays game? We went to one 4 years ago and had left field all to ourselves. What happened? That would have been one of the last places I would have expected that.

It's like that everywhere in the NFL. The tailgating gets out of control everywhere. It's even worse for a Sunday night game. I know Steelers fans that think PBS is lame for tailgating and boring for games b/c its crazy in Pitt.

Yep, just saw where two overweight male Browns fans were caught on camera outside the stadium beating up a couple bengals fans after a game last year.(court case is going on now). The Bengal victims were FEMALES. That kinda crap happens at every nfl stadium, even at Giants games.

Like I said, I'm basing my opinions on experience, and the experiences of others.

 

I know a guy who went to a Bengals/Packers game and got into a fight. A group of idiot Bengal fans tried to knock the cheese heads off of every packers fan they saw. My cousin is about 6'4 250 lbs. He's a big man. He did not let them knock his cheese head off.

 

I know another guy (a steelers fan) who was at a Steelers/Bengals game with a friend (law enforcement official). They nearly got into a fight because of stupid Bengals fans.

 

I know another guy who was at a Bengals/Packers game that saw a Bengals fan pour Beer all over a Packers fan's stuff.

 

I know what I saw at the Bengals game. People getting in my face, my fiance's face, my mothers face flipping us off etc....

 

I've never seen any of this at a Falcons game, Titans game, or a Giants game.

I actually had a blast at the Giants/Bengals game DURING THE GAME. The Bengals fans I sat around were great. I have no complaints about them. I did see a girl out a few rows in front of me who was really drunk, and really loud, but she said nothing to me or my family.

 

It was after the game that all hell broke loose.

 

I have talked to Giants fans, on Giants message boards, who thought most of the Bengal fans at that game were idiots too. But only a few...

 

 

Whether you all like it or not, I've talked to numerous people who have been to Bengals games as opposing fans who think that a lot of Bengal fans are idiots.

 

I forgot to mention in my last post that I know a Cowboys fan and a Bucs fan that went to games in Cincy, both left hating the Bengals and their fans.

Some folks seem to think it's OK to get hammered at the ballyard and mess with the experience of others. Some other folks defend them by saying they work hard, they deserve to kick back, tell your young kids to get over it etc.

 

Nope. Sorry. Buying a ticket doesn't come with a "jerk" license. The fact that someone works hard doesnt entitle him to do whatever he darn well pleases in public, especially if he's messing with someone else's good time. Most of us work hard. Most of us wouldnt think of getting sloppy drunk in public.

I don't think I have ever been to a pro game without having a sloppy drunk make a scene. It ruins a perfectly good day in just a few seconds.

There must be a big difference in Jets and Giants fans...because the Giants still sell alcohol in the 2nd half of games.
