It's NY! I had a best friend that coached Pro ball in NY. It doesn't take a brain child to know what New Yorkers act like sober. You think they get better drunk at an NFL game? Now have somebody wear an opposing jersey there:lol: I understand what you are saying about some places being better than others. I agree that my experiences at Cincy have had some idiodic fans and when I was in Tenn they were boring. We also sat real high at the Cincy games and almost on the field at Tenn. (I think that had a lot to do with it too). Overall my trips to Nashville in general has been more tame folks than Tenn. Do I doubt there are a bunch of idiots in Nashville... NO! To think that there aren't plenty of idiodic drunk fans in NY is absurd! IMO any adult fan that is dumb enough to wear an opposing jersey into a rivals stadium is asking for trouble and I don't have a lot of sympathy for them. Little kids is another story IMO.

I understand what you are saying about different places being different. Cincy is bad IMO. I just think you are a little blinded about being a GMan fan. New Yorkers are New Yorkers. Drunk New Yorkers are rough. Drunk New Yorkers with an opposing fan wearing their teams jersey isn't going to be a pleasant experience IMO.

We're not going to agree and that's OK. It is a problem with kids around IMO.

 

Seriously, the "blind" theory is getting old. It would be different if I were just talking about my experiences, but I'm not. You've pulled the "blind" theory way too much...in every single thread about pro football lately.

 

You are assuming two things...everyone in Giants stadium is a New Yorker, and that they are drunk. Many are probably not even New Yorkers, since they play in Jersey. I'd say a lot of people that go to Giants games are from Jersey.

 

Oh, and the crowd (like an earlier post of mine) is an older, milder crowd since tickets are passed down from generation to generation. The waiting list to get Giants season tickets is something like 60-70 years if I'm not mistaken. I'm on it...but I'll never get season tickets.

 

You will notice a lot of older Giants fans at games if you pay attention, or if you go there. That's probably why it's a mild stadium.

 

The example RTS posted was from a game that was not supposed to be in Giants stadium. The giants were supposed to play in New Orleans, but hurricane Katrina forced the game to be moved to Giants stadium. Season ticket holders did not get their seats in that game, the tickets were sold first come first serve. That's probably one reason the crowd might have been worse at that time.

 

Once again, I'm not saying there are ZERO idiots in New York. Just less than other stadiums. And I'm not "dumb" like you say because I wear my favorite teams jersey to an opposing stadium. I'm just not scared of anyone at a football game. If they hit me that's fine, I can take it. It's the little kids and women that I feel sorry for because they pretty much get treated the same way at a lot of stadiums.

I'd say Cincinnati would be right up there, if more opposing fans would go to games there. It's just not worth the trip for many to go there though.

 

I'd say Philly is the worst by far, with Boston up there too. Jets fans are morons too.

 

I read the fan experience on Philly and it said to expect a punch in the face from Eagles fans. :lol:

I didn't attract them in Tennessee or Atlanta...or Athens, Georgia when I went to a Kentucky Wildcats football game vs. Georgia. As a matter of fact, I didn't hear one single negative comment about Kentucky on my trip to Athens.
