Would the NIT have been a better scenario for UK?

Upon retrospect, I would have rather seen the Cats: 65 members have voted

  1. 1. Upon retrospect, I would have rather seen the Cats:

    • Get the NCAA bid, even with the one and out
      83%
      54
    • Get an NIT invite;beat Florida for the title
      16%

No and with Patterson I think UK goes on to the 2nd round and would have loved to have seen him against Lopez

NIT is just playing for pride. Winning the NIT is just a way to get over the shame of not making the big show.

The NCAA tournament is the ultimate goal every single year for just about every single D-I team.

Without Patterson, the NIT would have been better.

You might want to take a shower...

I think the NIT is beneficial for a young team like Florida, they can get in a bigger work load for experience purposes. UK on the other hand was a two man team after the exit of Patterson, I just don't see how a deep run in the NIT would benefit them more than the big dance experience.

No. NCAA Tournament is what every D-I tries to make each year.
