March 21, 200818 yr For me to like a mid-major, they can't be force-fed to me. I like Davidson because they're a good ball club with a stud of a player and no one really talks about them. There's always one mid major that's a media darling and that's the one that usually draws my ire. After todays win, and Curry only a soph, I think you better start searching for a new mid major.
March 21, 200818 yr Could that shot go up there with Christian's and Bryce Drew's? I think absolutely it is a top 5 play of all time in the NCAA tourney.
March 21, 200818 yr Interview after the game Brazelton said the winning play was designed to get the ball to the rim -- since the Hilltoppers only trailed by one. But coming out of the timeout, Rogers told Brazelton he had a slightly different plan in mind. "He said, 'Don't be afraid to kick it to me," Brazelton said. And he wasn't. Brazelton crossed halfcourt, zigged to his right and threw a perfect pass right to Rogers' hands. "It kind of worked out good," Rogers said, in the understatement of the tournament so far. This is the kind of young man who I would vote for for public office. What guts and courage must it take to want the ball right then.
March 21, 200818 yr I think absolutely it is a top 5 play of all time in the NCAA tourney. I think we have those every year. I just don't think this is a top 5 in the history of the Big Dance.
March 21, 200818 yr I had this, and I had WKU beating SD in the next round... I jumped and yelled when he hit that shot... Awesome...
March 21, 200818 yr Does 26 feet sound about right to you guys? Or was it deeper? I knew as soon as it left it was going in, the look was so perfect.
March 21, 200818 yr The only thing that could have been better is if Gus Johnson was calling the game.
March 21, 200818 yr Author Does 26 feet sound about right to you guys? Or was it deeper? I knew as soon as it left it was going in, the look was so perfect. Someone said something like 6 feet beyond. So probably 25-26 feet. All I know is that I was giving play by play on the phone to someone at the Sweet 16, and I screamed in his ear when WKU knocked it down. What a shot, what a game!
