D1 Players in KY

Yes, and Bryan isn't the player that Romes is. I thought Romes could have been successful at a higher level but I'm sure he is happy with where he is. I guess I'm just confused at how bringing those players up supports your theory that Bryan is the best player in NKY and a DI talent?

I'm not saying presently, but he is only a sophomore and the sky is not the limit for there are footprints on the moon.:ylsuper:

Well actually you did say presently by saying he was the best player in NKY this season. Oh, by the way I like the little phrase at the end of this post.

Vee Stanford getting looks from VCU, Vandy, EKU,

Impressed with him today...

Who is willing to add Landon Slone to this list after his game tonight? And if you want to say it was just one game, just look at his numbers against top competition this year and other years for that matter.

RNC, now you know he cannot play against the states best competition & that Paintsville doesn't play anyone since there in the weak mountain region. Be nice if we could go back & pull the names of those who have made such statements. Better yet wouldn't it be nice if those same people would come out & eat their crow!

I was very impressed with Slone last night. The kid can play.

He can play, but is anyone looking at him, that would be his only problem.

Some of the statements on this thread greatly underestimate the skill level required to play Division I basketball. And with very few exceptions, the size needed to play at this level.

Very true, and some people are also talking about kids who could possibly walk on and not play at a D1 school.

Does anyone know anything about the Shelton kid, sophomore from Owen CO. Played with the Shining Stars last summer. Has good rebounding and three point range. 6"7 1/2" and still grwoing.

Pittman and Ricardo Johnson from Holmes have D-1 written all over them if they continue to progress and become more assertive.

Not sure he's quite that tall yet. Potential but needs to get stronger inside IMHO.

I thought Eta Rho said in another thread that Rico Johnson was getting looks from Georgetown already, and that Pittman and R. Johnson both impressed the guy in charge of the basketball program down there at UK...
