2000 Fans at game

I tell you what is pathetic, not letting fans get into game, Take it 150 miles to florida play it on a neutral court. Just how ignorant some people in charge can be, I would of hate to had my vacation planned and not got to go , But i know people that did and didnt get to see any of the past games.That was just embarrassing to the SEC

I don't agree. How do you determine who gets in and not gets in. It was easier for them just to let noone in than doing that. It was a bad situation and I think they did the best they could do with what they had to work with.

Tell me how you would decide who gets to go to the game and who doesn't? If you move it 150 Miles you have many more people complaining about having to move locations and spend more money on travel. What about those that didn't drive down what do they do? Rent a car? More money there too. I hate that it happened that way too but it was the best decision IMO.

The SEC did what they had too. You can't just let everyone into the arena. It would be unfair because no way could they fit everyone in anyway. So instead of being unfair to some they were fair to all and let no one in... I'm sure there will be some kind of claim service if you still have your ticket or something to that extent.

Has every single vacation you've taken been smooth as silk?? They are going to refund the ticket money, which is all they can do.

This is the only option they had and I think it has worked very well so far.

I think they should have allowed fans in. Sell it out. Tickets would have went on sale at 10 o'clock yesterday morning online. No riots/fights to get tickets. Yes, it is a bad situation but at least 9,000 fans could have enjoyed the games.

I never said my vacation,I was just asking a general question. I didnt go, I know several that did though. I am split down the middle on this.

Yes under the circumstances yes. When you schedule a vacation, there is always a chance that weather plays a factor into your plans. I would not be happy but it is out of my control.

Was the Phillips Arena not available, they said it held 24,000. I would've been irrate if that was my vacation. There is more than ticket prices involved, like 3 days of costly hotel rooms, food, beverages and gas. Not too mention UK was the only team team out of 12 that didn't get to play in front of their crowd. I mean all of the other teams at least got to see their team once.

I think they could have done some kind of deal where those with tickets were put into a lottery. Then refund the $ to those who didn't get in the games. They were in a tough spot and made the decision based on safety - and ease of administration requirements.

I thought the same thing, then I remembered they only had a couple of hours to do something like that and with all the extra people getting the GT arena ready, I doubt they had the resources or manpower to get something like that rolling.

I would have let students from the playing schools in that already had a ticket. ie; UK playing; UK student ID, ticket to the tourney, you're in. I would have like to have seen a student section in the arena.

Its amazing a concert sells out in 10 minutes and they cant look split 5 schools equally ,, dont agree at all ...have your vacation ruined and look inside and see 7000 empty seats.
