I live in Fayette County and picked Paintsville to win because of the toughness of their coach and the effect this has on his players. If J-town can get P-ville in foul trouble they win handily, otherwise P-ville will win a close one at the end.

What else is new :lol: In '96, the year Paintsville won the State Title, the HL had us ranked 15th out of the 16.

 

They were ranked 10th in the HL that year.

I think Jeffersontown wins, but they won't roll Paintsville out of the gym like some of you have stated. Heck, they only beat another 15th region team, Shelby Valley, 75-70, earlier in the season in a tournament.

Didn't see J'town this year, but I think that Paintsville can handle them.

I think this is a close one. Paintsvilles offense is great but they just don't have a very good defense. That is why I think J-town is going to win the game.

I think we'll be seeing J'town in the second round. They play good defense and are very athletic.

 

Wouldn't be surprised to see Paintsville win this one though. They have played 4 of the sweet 16 teams (Lexcath, Lincoln Co, University Heights, Bardstown), so they should be battle tested for this match up.
