Your Reds Roster: If the Season Started Tomorrow

Featured Replies

Affeldt looks like he has just blown his chance at making the rotation, getting rocked tonight. All the promised him was a chance to start and he got it.

True. I think Cueto has certainly passed him and Bailey, and if Volquez is able to duplicate his effort that he had against the Yanks, then he'd likely do the same.

Will be interesting to see if DB/WK decide to use Cueto at the #3, or if they'll still put Belisle in that spot just because he's a veteran.

What is the roster limit? I was thinking 25? These rosters on here have 26 guys.

^ I am pretty positive it is 25.

It is 25.

Volquez today. 5 innings, 0 ER 0 R 1 bb 3 h 6 K's.

He might of just made the squad today.

^ He is a lock at this point. Either in the pen or the Rotation after this performance today I am inclined to say rotation.

My Starting 5 as of today:

Harang

Arroyo

Cueto

Volquez

Fogg

Bailey keeps showing us why he still isn't ready, Cueto and Volqeuz have shown on back to back starts that they are ready to compete on the big league level.

If I were Dusty that would be mine as well. As a Reds fan I would feel great with that rotation, and I honestly think the Reds can win the NL Central with that rotation.

I can tell you right now that if that ends up being their rotation, there aren't many clubs that have a number 5 better than Fogg...

And IF Volquez is what we think he is he may be the best #4 starter in the NL also...

Volques reminds me a little of Mario Soto. Guy is looking like he might be the real deal.

So does Belisle go back to pen?

You can only hope so.

No Belisle is in the rotation, didn't work for him in pen before because of his back.

Cueto is on live on FSN. Two texas leaguers a strike out and a walk has him working against Caberea With Bases loaded and 1 out.
