March 21, 200818 yr For all you Bailey haters, tonight wasn't a good night for you, after Fogg got blasted, Bailey came out and pitched good. 4 IP 1 ER 1 r 3 hits 1 SO 2 BB. Not great but good. His control and attitude will have him in Louisville. But Starts like this shows he is not far off. Fogg will still be in the opening day rotation IMO. There are plenty of Bailey haters on here. Take that. I don't know of any Bailey haters on here. Just because some of us realize that he isn't ready for the majors doesn't make us Bailey haters. There's nothing I would love more than to see Bailey reach his full potential. It would make the Reds that much better, but one outing of 4 innings doesn't deem him ready.
March 21, 200818 yr Also it took him a ton of pitches in those 4 innings that just isn't going to get it done.

Didn't say he was ready, but it shows that he can compete on the big league level.

March 22, 200818 yr Josh Hamilton has hit in 12 of his 14 spring training games and is hitting .556 (20-of-36). He has nine extra-base hits (five doubles, two triples, two home runs) and a major league-best 13 RBIs. Looks like a good deal for both teams if Volquez pans out.

Even taking into account that stat line, it doesn't compare to Cueto and Volquez's best stat lines of the spring...
