March 8, 200818 yr You saying they don't like to work, they'd rather be a student? Professors are students?
March 8, 200818 yr I had read at one time that a greater percentage of republicans than democrats had college degrees. That was several years ago. That may be bachelors degrees. Democrats tend to go on to law school or grad school.
March 8, 200818 yr None of my college professors have seemed that way at all. I know, I've sat through their classes. If they are, they don't project it on their students. I realize most of them probably are liberal, like I said earlier, the more education one receives, the more likely he/she is to be a democrat. Have you never had Tom Reed at the Stratton Building, probably the most Liberal professor you will meet. He is also for the record one of my favorites, I would've taken his course everytime is possible for every class. My favorite shirt that he wears is: Homeland Security - It has Indians on horses with battle gear on.

I can find you plenty of MBA, JD and doctorates that are as conservative as can be.
March 8, 200818 yr Bull. I can find you plenty of MBA, JD and doctorates that are as conservative as can be. Okay, and I could find as many or more that are liberal. College faculties, long assumed to be a liberal bastion, lean further to the left than even the most conspiratorial conservatives might have imagined, a new study says. By their own description, 72 percent of those teaching at American universities and colleges are liberal and 15 percent are conservative, says the study being published this week. The imbalance is almost as striking in partisan terms, with 50 percent of the faculty members surveyed identifying themselves as Democrats and 11 percent as Republicans. College Faculties A Most Liberal Lot, Study Finds The Woessners found that liberal students have values and interests that point them to careers in academe, while most conservative students do not. "The personal priorities of those on the left," the Woessners conclude, "are more compatible with pursuing a Ph.D." link Undergraduate students with liberal ideologies who have aspirations to pursue doctoral degrees nearly double that of conservative students, according to a study co-authored by a Penn State Harrisburg professor. March 8, 200818 yr People rejecting God and sinning was/is not going to stop. Should Jesus just have chucked it in and stayed in Heaven and not came to Earth as Man? If he can do what he did for me, should I not stand against abortion till the end of me? There is Scripture about running the race till the end. LBBC I respect you and your convictions, please understand that. I, unlike you, do not walk into the booth with scripture as my foremost thought at this point in my life. I am Machiavellian in my political views, I detatch my humanity when thinking about poitics and foreign policy as much as I possibly can. That is partially the historian in me as I rarely ever will actually look at any aspect of history as good versus evil, with very few exceptions. I understand and respect your stance on abortion, however I do request that you do not throw scripture at me on this matter as I tend to operate in a moral vacuum where politics, history and foreign policy are concerned.

March 8, 200818 yr Okay, and I could find as many or more that are liberal. College Faculties A Most Liberal Lot, Study Finds link LINK These are professors. I agree that most professors are liberal. Many highly educated individuals outside of academia are conservatives, however. That's to whom I am referring. :thumb:
March 8, 200818 yr So you will vote for a man that you despise? I voted for Bill Clinton. Twice. Also voted for Al Gore. And it made my stomach turn. But not as much as voting for GHWB, Bob Dole and GWB would've.
