Watusi
Anybody else read this thread title and have the lyrics "Randolph Scott, riding the trail alone" come to mind? I've done it over and over the last couple of days.

Beechwoodfan
I believe Hergott coaches offense at Beechwood. Yes, he has been there for several years.:thumb:
kydlineguy
Eric Lanthorne works in the Drywall business, has a wife and a newborn daughter living in Mason, Ohio. This information was as of 2003, the last time I had personally talked to him. He was very good friends with my brother in high school and they still talk. His father passed away this past summer but I was unable to go to the funeral. His father was a key man in the Newport Fire Fighters Pee-Wee Football Organization. Rhino4668
I'm MRS. Eric Lanthorne, and you were partially correct, kydlineguy. We lived & worked in the Mason area for awhile, but we lived in Trenton OH when our 1st daughter was born. We are still living in Trenton OH and have 2 daughters, 6 and (almost) 3. We've been married for 11 1/2 years now. Eric is working as an injection molding line operator at a company fairly close to Trenton, and he's pretty happy here. He doesn't like to discuss his high school football days because he says "that's in the past". I've only recently seen newspaper clippings of the games he & his brother played for Newport High School, and I have to say I'm proud of him! His mom & sister still live in the Newport area, and our nephew (Ryan Taylor) played for Newport a few years ago.

Lanthorne that's definately a blast from the past.Eric is a great guy I haven't seen in years. He is a few years older than me. I met him when he used to hang with the Merrills.. Heck of a football player that would run right over you...:thumb::thumb:

Rhino4668
Thanks! He might be older, balding, and no longer a spring chicken (or "Rhino", as his nickname was), but I still think he's a stud. Thanks for the props! I'll make sure he sees them! Oh, and he still talks to Tony Merrill once or twice a month, and they are still pretty good friends.
