I thought CCH did a great job of penetrating but unlike against other teams, you've got some boys waiting to swat your shots. I bet Holmes had 8 to 10 blocked shots.

 

They had 3 on 3 straight trips in the second half. Most came from the help side...

CCH struggled to get shots off if they got in the lane. Many of their points came off jumpers and red hot shooting from beyond the arc.

I'd say so. I believe CCH were 9 of 15 from behind the arc.

A few things:

1) CCH will play with anyone if they shoot like that. (Don't leave Shover open)

2) Arrez can make free throws

3) The Johnson bros are going to be scary good.

4) Mike Listerman even cries when they call a foul against the other team.

5) Classy parent with the "Ref needs glasses" sign, it seems the coaching rubs off on the fan base.

He (cshs81) was talking about the CovCath stats. They give a lot more stats than just the points scored etc. If you know how to read them (and any basketball fan who understand the game can) they can give you a lot of info about the game and how it was played. They are fun to read!

Too bad the 9th region doesn't implement a new rule stating that if your team does not score on the first shot of its possession, they have to give the ball to the other team. Holmes might then have a sub-.500 record. Those guys are so good at going to get the ball on the offensive glass .

Holmes did kill CCH on the boards. Maile was the only one who was able to go up and get offensive rebounds against Holmes. IMO that was the deciding factor. Holmes had 4 and 5 guys getting offensive rebounds whereas CCH only had one.

 

I've been very impressed with Maile the few times I've seen him this year.

Congrats to the Bulldogs! You are definately the best around. Go get em and kick butt for Northern KY!
