No they didnt. Their best player, Staggs, was in with 3 minutes left.

And btw, there was some of the dirtiest ball I've seen play all year from Augusta. Seemed like they were out to hurt someone.

Augusta played hard tonight just ran into a very talented Mason County team. They are worthy of their ranking. Scoring for Augusta is as follows.

This has been the case the past couple of years they have played Mason County.

Congrats Royals and big congrats to the youngsters who played over half this game and continued to build the lead.Get over the physical play guys Augusta was just trying to prove they weren't intimidated no problem with that,They came out of this game more banged up then the Royals.Good luck to both teams next week.

Augusta did not go into tonight's game with the intention of playing dirty. The intention was to play hard and physical to let them know they wouldn't just back down. There is a fine line between hard and dirty and a couple of the boys may have taken it a step too far. It also doesn't help that Augusta had not played that way all year because they

had not faced a big, physical team like Mason County this season.

I know some people that live in the 11th region that say Mason is a little weak and afraid to bang when it comes to playing in the post .But if you guys are talking about kids getting blown out and then frustration fouls are going to start showing up . It's tough to play one of the best teams in the state
