I don't forget that at all... I just question the validity of comparing the results in both sports and finding both to be recently lopsided. Football has been recently lopsided in UofL's favor... basketball has been competitive.

I think we all realize that football recently has been lopsided in Louisville's favor. I mean, anyone else remember the student trainer breaking down in tears on UK's side when they won? That's a pretty good sign that Louisville has owned UK recently. Louisville won three straight, then UK won one, then Louisville won four straight, and now Kentucky has won one. UK has been blown out several times in that stretch... Louisville has not. Anyone without those famous blue blockers sees that Louisville has recently dominated.

 

On the basketball side, the series is obviously more competitive. There have been close wins and blowouts for both sides recently. Kentucky has had the better of Louisville, but Louisville fans haven't been tearing up Freedom Hall's court when they win, either.

Too bad the game was in Rupp this year. I can understand why you'd be quick to block it out of your mind, though.

 

You're right... it was at Rupp, but it was still UofL that initiated the change, IIRC. Was it the "we need to make room for New Mexico State" excuse?

 

Whatever it was, I'm almost positive that CBS didn't have anything to do with it.

I would much rather the game be on Sunday like it has always been. It is still a big stage and even better there is no work on Monday! I have always felt bad for UofL fans that they play on so many crazy nights of the week instead of being able to enjoy Sat games like most of the nation. I think it has probably been good for recruiting but I would hate it if UK went that route! I'll watch it on Sunday or Monday (hopefully I'll be there) but I like it WAY better on Sunday myself!

They werent that good because at times their offense didnt live up to the hype and their defense was an embarrasment.

 

I don't hold any bad feelings towards last season...it's done, and there are numerous reasons why. Most all of those reasons have been exorcised...I am good from here on out.

Maybe you forgot but WHAS was the flagship station for UK for about 50 years before UL overbid and won the contract for a few years.UK is back on WHAS where it can reach its many fans throughout the nation.

 

That's fine...but U of L has become a player, and WHAS is a Louisville station...I know you say you have season tickets to both....will you just concede your U of L fandom, so it can be put out, and done with?

^ I love this rivalry, it gets much love on here...which I am excited about. That said, I think the end may be nigh, unless Jurich and Barnhart can learn to deal with each other like grown men. I think they are both at fault.
