February 26, 200818 yr Arrogance and Confidence can sometimes be confused... and spare me your "typical" frat boy comment. Show me ANY guy who is college age that isn't interested in girls and I'll show you a guy thats interested in guys(not thats theres anything wrong with that and many fraternities have homosexuals in them), plain and simple! Rocket, Im a bit confused as to what point you're trying to make. Never did I say that I dont like frat guys because they're interested in guys/girls at all. Thats just comical.
February 26, 200818 yr True statement, but we don't have a thread thats has FBLA members or Foreign Language that take "outsider" comments sooo personally. :thumb: ^ Typical frat boy comments. Like I've stated before, their cocky and self centered and these comments basically sell themselves. Rocket, Im a bit confused as to what point you're trying to make. February 26, 200818 yr Guess you forgot about this? Rocket, just like my quote says, I said they were cocky, arrogant and self centered. Never did I mention their sexual orientation, although at times it can be questioned. :sssh:

I guess if you were an enginearing major and there were girls who just really like enginearing majors, you'd turn them down right?

Absolutely not, and I think you knew that before you posted that question. However, the difference between the girls who go after frat boys and engineering boys is a matter of imagining an engineering boy who advertises himself to others girls of just how "Bad/Fly/Awesome" he is.
February 26, 200818 yr Here is what fraternities can do. They take you away from BGP, as is the case with MJ and mak... I don't even see them on the memebers list anymore? Are they history?

And sometimes there is no difference at all....In college while we were dating, my husband was both a Pi Kappa Alpha at UK and an extremely intelligent and hardworking mechanical engineering major. So it is possible to be both, contrary to what many choose to believe. For the record, I am a Chi Omega alum from UK.

I was in a fraternity AND had a double major in Business Management and Computer Information Systems. Graduated with a 3.7 GPA. I don't think its a fair stereotype to say that all frat boys party and flunk out of college. :madman:

And believe me, we had our share of good times. You just have to learn to manage your time well, something that comes in handy later in life.

For everyone that did not finish school, five actually finished because of being in a fraternity. Got me thinking about the guys I pledged with. There were 14 of us, pledged 8 years ago. All 14 graduated and are now (off the top of my head)... - Accountant in Louisville - Architecht in Louisville - Teacher in Reidland - Restaurant owner in Murray - Sales Rep in Nashville - Accountant in Nashville - Last semester of Grad School at Vandy - Taking the Bar Exam this week - Minor League Umpire - Physical Therapist in Florida - Finishing MPA this semester - BGP Moderator

For everyone that did not finish school, five actually finished because of being in a fraternity. That is a good point. The fraternity and sorority GPA averages are always higher than the all campus average. Usually way higher. In fact, as an SAE at Morehead, I think we had to keep a 2.3 or 2.4 to even be a member of the fraternity.
February 26, 200818 yr I was a Delt at Morehead. I agree with most of the pro greek comments. Some of the best times of my life were at the delt house.
