On the fields yet

Not been doing anything at Owsley, with the weather we're having, except weightlifting.

:thumb: Maybe Monday if the ground is dry Owsley County can get on the field. But with the weather we are having who knows.

Scrimmages start in about 2 weeks, I'm not holding my breath that the first ones are played unless it hits about 80 for a few days. Soil temp here is 37 degrees. Going to take a while to dry out at those temps! :madman:

Villa has been out in the parking lot, and in the outfield doing drills once.

Parking Lot Baseball - IT'S FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're predicting rain and snow for the next 7 days for most of the state, already a bad start to the season.

We practiced on the field twice this weekend. Does not look like we will get back out until Wed. I guess tomorrow we will be stuck in the cages.

How many programs took advantage of the weather break this weekend?

We got on Sunday it was great. Hopefully again today if the rain holds off.

Elliott Co. will be on the field for the first time today, after being stuck in the gym. After today it looks like its back inside for awhile though.

Knott should be on the fiels today. And with some more boys coming out, since basketball is done.

Wolfe County hasn't been able to be on their field a single time, so far. Simply been far too wet. They have been outdoors probably a half dozen times. The pitchers and outfielders have been able to get some decent work in, but the infielders desperately need work, and the hitters need to see some live pitching. There is only so much you can do on an open field,(especially when even IT is too wet to work on!), and even less you can do in the gym, which, based on the weather reports is where I guess most everyone will be for the better part of next week.

Lewis Co has been on the field twice this season, the last time was on march 3rd. Jake Bolander took a cleat to his left tricep on a tag out at third base, it took 4 stitches to sew him up... crazy injury for only the second go around on the field.

Today looks good. Just now mowed the grass and ready to go.:thumb:

:dancingpa:dancingpa

Today is PERFECT but our the field is pure mud. In the gym once again...

Everyone is going to learn to be muck farmers this season :irked:
