I saw one at Buckhorn Lake in Perry County a couple of years ago. I also saw one at Lake Cumberland two years ago.

I saw one sunday in GC, down toward South Shore.

Just past the Pink Palace on 36 between Carrollton and Milton.

 

As the crow (or eagle in this case) flies that is very close to where I live. If you know the area, it is where King's Ridge connects to Bells Ridge. I can't see the river itself, but can see the valley, particularly love seeing the morning fog covering it.

 

Back in the fall, I saw one sitting in a sycamore tree about 1/4 mile from my house. It was the first time I had seen one in nature and really felt, I don't know, in awe of it I guess.

You are on top up the world up there. How was travel this past weekend with the snow? I Know there are a pair of eagles on the Ky. River around Twin Creek. I've seen one on Eagle Creek near Eagle Valley Resort. Maybe thats where they got their names from. Saw one on the tail waters of Wolf Creek Dam (Cumberland Lake) and a couple in Ontario (Calm Lake), near Int. Falls Mn.

I've seen them a couple of times at Yatesville Lake in Lawrence Co (Louisa).

I spent last week walleye fishing on the Clinch river (Tennessee) The area that we fished had an eagles nest, and the eagle actually came within about 50 ft of our boat to drink. It was truly amazing, it was the closest that I had ever been to an eagle in the wild.

Got 6 keepers. 5 Females and one male. Water had some color to it and was about 48-50 degrees. Didnt have much luck after Thursday, a front came through and the fish quit. Most people that I talked to said that they didnt believe the walleye had started to spawn yet, and the ones that I had were not hardly ready yet.

 

Caught the fish on 3/8 ounce chartruse jigs, tipped with minnows, also seen some caught on orange twisters. I caught four of the walleye troling about 15-18ft, with a Cabelas walleye runner blue with an orange stomach.

Thanks for the report, I have been told this is a good area for walleye fishing. You had a few nice ones. This is the area off of 25E?

There are many at Laural Lake in Whitley Co.

 

The eagles up in the river section of the lake hover right over our boats and really eye the trout we pull in...I wouldn't be surprised if one swoops down and takes one that's coming in on top of the water. That would be quite a spectacle, but I'd hate to lose the lure or see the eagle injured!
