Is there anyone who would STILL like to tell me that Miller is better than Hopson?

 

Granted that it was only one game, but I watched Miller absolutely dominate Hopson at Sheldon Clark early in the season. Miller had something like 41 and Hopson had somewhere in the high teens. For my money Miller is better...

Just because Hopson was named a burger boy doesn't mean he is better than Miller...

Carlos Hurt was probably the last "Kentucky" boy to make the squad. He was a transplant from either Texas or Oklahoma though, so I dont know if you should really count him.

Hurt moved to Louisville from Texas ... somewhere around Houston, if I recall correctly.

Hopson a McDonald's All-American ... if there was ever proof that national analysts base all their rankings on summer performance, this is it.

Congratulations to Mr Hopson, he is truly a great talent. He also has another great talent playing beside him that I would say could hold his own with any of the guards selected to this All American Team and IMO is the best guard in Kentucky (Mr Edmunson).

Hopson is a great talent, and I don't mean to take much away from the guy, but a McDonalds All American might be stretching it a little much.

This selection is primarily because of his national ranking in my opinion. Now, to debate his ranking is a legitimate argument. I have seen him play once and felt his effort was completely there, but when he wanted to take over the game he did. Is he one of the top players in the country? Yes. Does he always play like it? No.

Congrats to Hopson. Good luck and show them what Kentucky High School Basketball is about.

I have seen him play three times and all three he was not the best player on his team. He scored points but the points that came easy. Dunks, Lay-ups etc. He did not work hard to get other points and boards. He has the talent to score 40 but not the work ethic. Edmonson was better.

I will tell you that Miller is better than Hopson. Just becasue you are named to the McDonald's All-American team doesn't make him better. But, I guess my opinion doesn't matter since I don't vote. But I wish nothing but the best for Scotty, and hope he has a good showing and reps KY well.

Mack should of got some consideration too.
