The THS v BGHS game was Trinity's 1st and BG had a game under its belt. The way THS was playing in the playoffs was awesome. Henry Clay and Boone County got BLASTED and they both had a lot of quality players and depth. Trinity scored more points against St. X than any other Trinity team in history and St. X had the best D in the state. I would have to go with THS by at least 21.

 

I heard that these teams played a couple of years ago as JVs at HHS and that THS easily handled HHS. Is there any truth to this?

 

Trinity continues to add to their offense and tweak their defense well into the playoffs. The coaching staff prefers to add wrinkles and try to improve weekly by expanding the offense and moving player personnel around.

Trinity is interested....the earliest it could happen will be 2009....there are some problems though. One, how the district schedules will be lined out then. Two, capacity, Trinity and HHS couldn't play at HHS or Trinity and accomodate all who would want to see it. I think Trinity will be scheduling CovCath and Highlands within 2-3 years.

I like the Cincy matchups myself. For if nothing else a decent crowd. HHS played Louisville St X two years ago at Paul Brown and the attendance was abysmal.

Well, from the "horse's mouth" so to speak, we'll have to wait and see what the KHSAA is going to do. Remember this current alignment is short, it will be changing, maybe, again soon. Then Trinity will try to get CovCath and Highlands on the docket. You mentioned the home and home with St. Xavier Cincy, and it will be a nightmare here, you can bet on that. It is our home opener and Trinity will have to turn people away, I would look for a bowl scenario in the future. I also think we may see MBA back if we can get an early enough opening date to play.

No...HHS is not dodging anybody. Trinity, IMO, is interested in playing HHS and CovCath in the future. I do believe that will happen.

Exactly, we got nothing from Lafayette or Dunbar, I wouldn't look for them in the future.

I'd say well. Nothing like playing a national power in front of 10's of thousands. Awesome atmosphere and a great experience, plus exposure for the kids.

Besides violating confidence, I think you are taking some liberties with my take on the second CCH/HHS game. Either way, once CCH faltered on the first drive HHS took over and CCH pretty much gave up. Add to that, the CCH game may have been Highlands' best performance of the year.

 

Back to topic, I would say 14 to 21 in favor or Trinity but I will stick with 21. IMHO, Highlands would have struggled to score more than two touchdowns against T.

 

One thing is for sure, I would love to see Highlands and Trinity play each other every year.

^ The problem with Wallace is that he played us game one, and you game 15....that's quite a difference, Guru has to be one of the best judges for this, in that he saw both, numerous times.

I think it would be valid to note what week of the season when Trinity and HHS would play. If during the regular season early, the nod goes to Highlands, based on turnovers and defense. Later in the season, when there is considerable tape to view, I would go with the Rocks.

Since we are talking about the two premier football programs in Kentucky it would only be fitting if they played the first game of each season kicking off the new season. That would be a very exciting game!!!!!!!!
