Reds Interested In Kenny Lofton?

Featured Replies

I'd rather have Willie Mayes Hayes!

Has everyone forgot this will give the Reds something they haven't had in years. A true lead of guy.

I don't know how anybody can get overly excited about Lofton. I've always liked him but he is WAY past his prime.

Exactly! :thumb:

As much as I like Freel, they could then package him in a deal with lower prospects while keeping the big ones.

We could sign him and trade him to the Indians around the trade deadline. Haven't they traded for him like 10 times or something?

Freel and low level prospects to keep away what the big prospects can bring???

Reds interested in or signing retreads or forgotten players. How can you NOT think of Major League.

"I haven't heard of half these guys and the ones I do know of are way past their prime."

"Most of these guys never had a prime."

"This guy here is DEAD!"

"Cross him off then."

Reds baseball fever!

CATCH IT!

He may be past his prime, but I really don't think he plays like it. After watching his efforts in the playoffs last year, I mean you couldn't go wrong with him.

Was there another thread on here that said that the Reds signed him?

There was, but I pulled it because I haven't seen anything that confirms it.

Thank you because I was thinking that I imagined posting on it twice.

Thanks HC now I'm going to have to go watch it. But it really does sound like the Reds

I like Lofton, I liked him even better 13 years ago. I guess I'm just not as excited as most folks about landing a guy that is so far past his prime. I don't think he is going to hurt them but I don't think he is the savior of the fanchise he is being painted to be. The Reds could do a lot worse but they could do a lot better too!
