Can't understand what would draw coach Perry that far east?

Word is they chose 5 to interview and 2 dropped out. Copely, Jerry Perry from Danville, and Hensley from Dunbar were all interviewed. While an assitant from Clay County and the HC at South Laurel both withdrew their names before the process started.

Is South Laurel coach looking to leave ?

Pikeville has one of the best class "A" programs in the state. They also are in the hunt for a regional title every year.

What do you think Coach Harp would do if he leaves? Will he go after Stonebreaker from Garrard Co?

 

Apparently he is going after a OC job somewhere according to an earlier thread. I dunno if its true, just what I thought I seen.

 

Perry would do great no matter where he is at.

Apparently he was on the hot seat, so no wonder why he was looking to leave.

He is probably looking to leave every year. He only spent several seasons at Perry Central and I think is the third season at South Laurel, so it is probably time to try and find something new.

I will agree with you that they are in the regional hunt every year. I also will agree that in the east they are one of the better class A teams. I know there have been a bunch of jobs closer to Central Ky that Coach Perry could have had. So what I was meaning is why would he go that for east and not take a job closer to where he is from.

Perry has done the defense since he's been there just like Marty Jaggers did the offense when he was there.Before they both were there , coach Harp did them both.When Jaggers left ,he started doing the offense again. He has not forgotten how to do the defense. I don't see Stonebreaker calling the O or D at Danville.

Just throwing a name out there if Perry gets the job. Do you think he will move up anyone on the current staff or do the offense and the defense himself, assuming he does the offense now? And who do you think Perry would want to be with him, if he lands the job? Doesn't he have a brother that coaches over that way somewhere?

For us who have no clue what type of offenses do these coaches run?

 

On the other side of the ball does any of these coaches use the blitz packages a lot?

The selection commitee has chosen 2 for second interviews. Copely and Hensley are the final 2. From what Ive been told Hensley will interview today and Copely will interview Monday. Should know something next week but then again this is the 3rd week in a row Ive been told that LOL!
