Pikeville has one of the best weight training programs in the state. I know Coach Copley gets it done in the weight room. How are they lacking in this area??????

Theve interviewed 4 this week. All I know for fact is that Copely is one of them. From what Ive heard there possibly could be a hire by Monday.

Kids outside the city limits have to pay tuition. Its always been that way as far back as I can remember.

 

 

The Pike BOE limits the number of students that Pikeville Independent can get SEEK money for at about 600. After that they do not release SEEK money to Pikeville. A students can still go to Pikeville over the 600, but the district does not get SEEK money.

 

All students from outside the city pay tuition but its around $300 a semester, but if it is over the 600 the student must pay what is equal to SEEK money.

Word is they chose 5 to interview and 2 dropped out. Copely, Jerry Perry from Danville, and Hensley from Dunbar were all interviewed. While an assitant from Clay County and the HC at South Laurel both withdrew their names before the process started.

Jerry Perry would be great for this job. When are they going to decide?

IMO Hensley would be the perfect choice. He would be great for the Pikeville program.

Coach Jerry Perry is a great man. He is a great football mind and to have a head coach as an assistant at Danville, done the things he has as a HC at Garrard, done the things Sam Harp has trusted him with at Danville, won at least 6 state titles at DHS - Pikeville would be lucky to have a man with a discipline and love for the game! :thumb:

It is one of shock but no disrespect at all! If Pikeville lands Coach Perry, they are definately the winners

What do you think Coach Harp would do if he leaves? Will he go after Stonebreaker from Garrard Co?
