Mason Co vs Elliott Co Prediction 2/16

Featured Replies

So you actually agree to Mason County being beaten by 32 points? Tradition or not, Mason County is better than that. We'll just have to see about that...

Ms. Liberty makes that prediction in every game, there is no disrespect intended toward Mason Co.

Didn't mean to speak for you Ms. Liberty.:D

Mason County 82

Elliott County 52

Elliott will probably go cold once again since it is a big game.

Mason 75

Elliott 59

Mason will handle the press and be able to contain Elliott.

A. Elliott County does not win by 32.

B. Neither does Mason County.

Had the chance to see Elliott vs. CovCath at the Lexington Catholic tourney. Folks forget that EC was within 1 late in the game; the kid from CC (Bondick? sp?) hadn't gotten hurt yet.

This might play out like a track meet; or Mason County may elect to slow down just a little and pound the ball inside to Miller.

I'll say Mason County 82, Elliott County 75; with the Royals finding a way to pull out a close one as they often do.

Maybe not. Would it be better, you think, to put a 6'er on him?

Elliott didn't play well in the Cov. Cath. game or they would have beaten them. They have a very good team that doesn't get a whole lot of credit because they don't have many "signature" wins. If it is like a track meet Elliott will have an advantage and you better believe coach Mays will have them running. Mason needs to slow the ball down and try to get the ball inside to Miller as much as possible because Elliott won't be able to stop him.

Lion Mania, Timmy Knipp cannot guard Setty.

Didn't say he could guard him--Just saying how do you matchup since Elliott hardly ever plays zone. Miller and Setty create match-up problems and it must be help team defense. Individually Elliott can't guard Miller. Individually probably no one in the state can guard him except maybe Hopson.

MC should win by 15 or more for a variety of reasons. It's @MC,they are a very good and experienced team that will handle EC's pressure enough to where it will not make a difference in the game. One important cog for EC will give the usual lack of effort & be in foul trouble which will make the match up problems worse. MC can also hit the 3 ball just as good as EC so even if EC is shooting it well that may equal out. Depth & MC willingness to use it! I'm sure I could name a few more but the two biggest will be Miller taking over if he needs to & coaching as you may as well just spot MC at least 12-15when it comes down to coaching. For that matter almost any EC opponent so I suppose nothing new there.

I'll be the first (and possibly only) one to walk out on the limb...

Elliott 81

Mason 80

One of the best games of the year and all of a sudden the whole state puts one eye on tiny Sandy Hook.:thumb:

I'll go out on a limb with you,,,Elliott Co to win in a close one.:ylsuper:

I can't think of a single factor that favors Elliott against Mason. Mason has the edge in shooting (slight maybe) rebounding, coaching, home court, big game experience, quickness, and bench among others. Why would Elliott win this game?

Wheee ! rebounding- maybe , coaching- nah, quickness- maybe NOT ! I don't know much about this game, but I bet Masons turnovers go up for this one.

That's all right and thank you for it. I did put it in it in parenthesis so to mean I was just wishing & hoping. Again thanks for explaining. Good luck to both teams

They have played Rice and Mount Vernon. Just because they play Elliot doesnt mean that they will turn it over. Elliot plays no defense at all after the press.
