The JV looks good to me . They have some good shooters, they lit it up from three.

Mason's coach must have thought he would need a win really bad this late in the season or he wouldn't have scheduled this "cupcake" team from the 16th region.

And let's not forget that Bryan Station comes to the Fieldhouse for this season's final regular-season game. Nothing like a diet of creampuffs late in the year.:scared:

Looking at their schedule from the beginning of the year, I highly doubt that their coach scheduled this game to be a cupcake win, he probably just wanted to see what all the hype was about EC.

Mason's last 14 regular-season games: Montgomery County (regional rival), Scott County (perennial power), Atlanta Centennial, Campbell County (arguably the best defense in the 10th), Lexington Catholic ('nuff said), Fern Creek, Henry Clay (who knew Moses and Boyd wouldn't play), Rowan County, Madison Central (always tough, especially in Richmond), Montgomery County again, Clark County (region's #3), Elliott County, Harrison County and Bryan Station (cough cough Shelvin Mack cough cough).

 

Looks to me as if Mason is trying to gear up for the post-season; and that Elliott County presented a challenge (run-and-gun with good outside shooting) that the Mason County coaching staff wanted to face. Always a good idea to schedule teams that play differing styles.

 

And it could be argued that this schedule is no more difficult that a typical 11th region second half of the season schedule.

 

Maybe 2hand was just trying to get a rise out of the posters predicting a Royals blowout.
