Interesting, I see it as OSU out of the picture.......and I think it would be a bit of buckeye speculation to say that he "woke up ready to sign with OSU" yesterday. How in the world could anyone possibly know that?

 

Reading in between the lines, I've gathered this: His dad telling him that playing right away isn't important makes me believe that when the two exchanged preferences, Pryor's was Michigan. Obviously, his dad is pushing PSU hard. We'll see how it works out in the next few days.

Pryor, the Pittsburgh-area quarterback who is considered the nation's top unsigned high school football recruit, backed off his apparent choice of Ohio State on signing day and said he needs more time to make up his mind.

 

Pryor's self-imposed delay means Oregon and home state Penn State are back in the race after the multi-sport star apparently had narrowed his choices to Ohio State and Michigan. On Tuesday night, Pryor felt comfortable with Ohio State, only to change his mind after waking up Wednesday.

 

"I had my mind set last night that I was going to go ... but Penn State is hitting me hard and I don't think I gave them a fair chance and I want to take a visit there," Pryor said. "Just check out their campus. Just give him [coach Joe Paterno] a chance, he's a great guy. I just think I should go there [to visit]."

 

 

 

And to your playing early comment Pryor has said all year long he does not mind waiting to play, would even consider red shirting.

81...he is a Duel..smaller version of Jarmarkus Russell. Last year Coach Saban let a drop back QB go to the Canes and he got Nick Fanuzzi to come to Bama. His dad is Mike Fanuzzi who was a QB under Fran Curci with the Cats. Mike didn't like to throw it, but was a hard nosed runner, Nick is a carbon copy, but bigger.

He is more than likely gonna play in the secondary. He's 6'4" with a 40" verticle.

I don't know where there going to put him yet. Most say he is the next Chris Gamble. Identical comebine attributes and 2 inches taller. He was a ball hawking saftey in HS as well as QB. He is what NFL teams drool over in the secondary if he can put it all together in Columbus.

As of right now it looks like OSU and PSU head to head. He is on his last lap of recruiting. Anything can happen. I would laugh and be mad if he visited Oregon and then signed there.

I saw some things on the Bama board that he contacted Coach Saban for a meeting. Now I don't see it happening and one nut can post something and those crazy Bama fans run like scalded dogs.
