Tomcats played well until Coleman got into foul trouble.

You're right, but a win over Ashland probably makes you feel a bit better than beating Morgan County. Either way, Elliott seems back on track.

 

Ashland has alot of history but they aren't much to brag about so far this season. I'll still take a win anytime though :thumb:

Elliott County only has three games left:

 

Feb. 8 - Raceland (H)

Feb. 12 - Mason County (A)

Feb. 19 - Russell (H)

 

Obviously Russell should be a win. Raceland is pretty good, but I can't see the Rams going to Sandy Hook and winning. The big game is at the Fieldhouse. It will be interesting to see how Elliott County handles themselves that night in what could be a state tournament first round preview.

I must have missed those two.......but most of the county showed up, so two is not really that bad !! But on a more positive note : both teams had a bunch of JV players. It's nice to see schools with that many kids involved !

It was just some good fan entertainment. They were such great dancers that the entire student body of Ashland was trying to dance with HIM across the gym. lol

 

It was a good game, but I enjoyed the atmosphere the most.

ON the way home the radio said Elliott had only 5 turnovers. WOW! I think they said Ashland had 24 Wow!

Some thoughts on the game:

 

1. The Russell staff is not professional. Ticket takers treated an older woman from Ashland poorly. I was embarassed for the school system. Concession stand worker spoke badly toward a student (don't know where they were from).

 

2. Ashland adults are classy. I have never known Ashland adults to be rude or mistreat the competition (even if they are losing). Thanks!

 

3. I have no idea how Ashalnd kids grow up to be the respectful adults that they do....their student section is obnoxious...but that's ok. It makes games fun!

 

4. Gosh it got aggressive in the 4th!

 

5. It felt good to beat Ashand.

Did you by any chance notice that the ticket takers for this game were not wearing Russell attire? :confused:This was a home game for the Tomcats played @ Russell.

 

I did not witness anything out of the way by the Tomcat workers or fans.:fire: Russell was glad to be able to help out.:thumb:
